The issue is very simple yet non of this pundits even notice. Real Madrid has no midfield , no right back and no left back. You have two DM , Jude and Tchouameni playing as striker and Central defense. That fact alone alone create holes in mid and defense. Then you have a winger playing right back but never really doing anything as a right back. Another hole in the right back position. Another hole in left back- you have Mendy who is not really good at anything. You are left with Cama and Valverde in mid. But Cama has to compensate for Mendy’s inability and Valverde has to compensate for Rudiger , Tchouameni and Vasquez. What this means is you have absolutely nobody playing midfield. Vini and Rodrygo, being wingers are left Caught up in this and forced to play as defensive midfielders battling Gavi, Pedri and Casado. (Vini is worn out by this but Rodrygo fights to the end. ) remember all their natural midfielders are attending to non midfield positions. This is what barca exploited. Midfield was wide open and Barcelona had a party in the middle of real madrid pitch
