Hey! Developer of the game here. Been a fan of Zero Punctuation since 2007, and a fan of Yahtzee since his "Yahtzee Takes On The World" webcomic days on Keenspot. Seeing this review made me more happy than I can say. Thank you very much! I am glad you (mostly? kind of?) enjoyed it! (And I may have re-read the Dresden Files books four or five times. Don't judge me)

Ive read every Dresden files book and spent a few years playing the RPG. I played a pure mortal conspiracy theorist who one day declared himself a vampire hunter. he shaved all his body hair off so no one could steal it for spells. Carried around a flask full of holy water he'd insist people sip from at gunpoint. Used a bike chain as his primary weapon. Once lined a coat with road flares, took it off, threw it on the head of an enemy and set off all the flares converted an Oldsmobile minivan into a battle van. Used nail bombs to fight the fae. And before a major final conflict hooked up an industrial sized fan up to a battery and dolly wheeled it in and in the heat of battle with vampires turned it on to have it fill the room with garlic powder Eventually he had the Mortal authorities on his ass and had to leave town Some of the most fun Roleplaying I'd ever had.

I haven't read a Dresden files book. I've read all of them and absolutely love it. Especially when it comes up with the best battle cry ever in the history of fantasy. Imagine a battlefield between summer and winter. A war raging in the clouds and your about to charge into the Frey against goblins. Powerful knights and all manner of magical Fay with only werwolf's at your side. You inhale a deep breath and charge your staff with crackling magical energy. The moment is here and you let loose a bellow as loud as the thunderous lightning beneath your feet that you are here. "I DON'T BELIEVE IN FAIRIES"

dude, you are complaining about the game that brought to life a lot of the mechanics we see in adventure action-shooters today like halo series. Of course it's gonna be simple. Just like the ps2 prince of persia made wall-running a thing for games, while still being quite a simple game on itself. The hardware, mechanics and graphics were a commendable feat at the time it was released. so it wasn't a bad game.

As a married man in his thirties, I still love the Dresden Files. I don't really get Yahtzee's problem with them, but it's not much of a surprise that Yahtzee doesn't like some thing.

It's funny because I thought of Dresden just from seeing the thumbnail. I wonder why it holds such a strong presence in my mind. Anyways, back to writing my Dresden Files fanfic.

By description alone it sounds awfully like the obscure game called Nocturne. It has a similar premise but its only seemed to be remembered as that one game that lead into Bloodrayne.
