People don't realize that there is different styles to Vintage Cube than just numot and lsv. Vintage cube is a pretty deep format, if you see high level players they end up with all kinds of different decks.

I definitely agree. It is pretty frustrating how often people say "the correct pick here is X, you can never pass that card." That's just now how this works. I've passed sol ring for lightning bolt before and won that draft. It's all context dependent. (the context on sol ring is my deck had like two total colorless pips in it, just good UR delver).

@@CalebGannon My hot take is off-color moxen are picked too highly. Especially in leagues. People have to understand that lsv mostly does team drafts, so passing power is much worse since it goes to the opponent. On ladder, how good your deck ends up being is all that matters and some decks just don't need a "make a colorless" rock that sucks if you draw it after turn 3.

I think people conflate "Pack 1 Pick 1" with "Pick this one". Sol Ring is not a great pack 3 in a lot of decks (Mono White is a good example where a lot of the cards have multiple white cost and are relatively low mana), but it is good earlier in the draft. But people hear "You see this card, take it!" without thinking about their own actual situation.

thassa's oracle seems like the most consistent storm wincon, doesn't lose to eldrazi, recovers more easily from a whiff, has many different interlocking mechanisms of self-mill that can support each other in a modular way...

I think maybe entomb was a good idea to include in the main. It would help you find the missing piece when you already have breach in play. i.e. it can tutor Lotus or Frantic Search or DRC etc. Would have been better than Hullbreacher or kitsa IMO. Thoughts?

Yeah It's maybe worth considering. It's just hard because breach is the most important piece, so I wanted to play the tutors that helped me find breach. Entomb is a little win more. Which might be okay since this deck can afford to do that, but I'm not sure there was anything worse in the deck I would want to cut.

@@CalebGannon I'm looking at 20:30 and not seeing any fliers except DRC and no 2/1 creatures at all. I think this might actually be the best storm deck you've ever drafted and there is no room for High Tide.

@michaelkelsch9585 oh I thought you meant cut from the cube In this deck we just cut the relic or talisman, also remove ancient tomb for island. There's plenty of room for it. High tide would make the frantic search loops broken even if we only have one island. We could potentially go off with looping frantic search-> fact or fiction if there was an active high tide.
