When lan opens the tube you also need to be there for there is 4 posters 2 stubbie holders. For no one has sent these posters. They happen to be his favourite Bathurst car. Please don’t tell him there is two Torana pictures be careful of them. Cause they are altogether in the tube. They are separate pictures. It will put the 😊 on his face more. The two stubbie holders are of Ned Kelly. There is also another parcel there has a hoodie with the Torana on it I hope it fits him it’s Size XL.

The gift from Anthony must have been from a very personal collection.... Coins from all of those years, grouped together, is very uncommon. To have in your possession coins dating back to 1911 and multiple progressive years up until the ceased circulation of the Australian penny is amazing and would have taken dilligence to group together. Very generous indeed. I was blown away with the personality of all of the gifts you received over the 2 days here. Wonderful, generous people of Australia!

Wow, you and your family are really getting the Aussie love. It's not surprising, but some of those gifts are mind blowing. I thought the R.M. Williams and Uggs were something (very pricey stuff), but those old coins were on another level, I don't think you could buy those, they had to have been collected by someone. The hat is an Akubra, which is I guess the equivalent of a cowboy hat here, but top shelf, everything you got was amazing. You do an incredible job all of you, and together you just shine love and kindness, you make us all feel good. Thank you.

Awesome vid!! Field trips are called "excursions" in Aussie schools. Those mugs/tumblers with the yellow band around them from Firbank are reusable coffee cups (we call them keep cups). You take them into your local Cafe and they make your coffee in your own cup. Saves wastage from takeaway cups. The yellow strap is to help insulate it so it's comfy to hold and doesn't slip out of your hand. Blown away by the generosity of these parcels.

Bit of trivia, friend of mine moved from Texas here to Perth with his wife and young family. As a result of the total immersion into the Aussie culture and language, his kids are able to speak the same language with two accents. They were at thanksgiving dinner with other family who came down before the lockdowns a few years back, and the kids had some of their friends from school over, and could switch from speaking in a thick southern American accent to an Aussie drawl in the same breath. The wonders of the human mind.

Hi Ian & family. Not quite sure if you fully realise what an incredibly generous gift Anthony sent you with the coin collection. Hang on them mate, they are worth a small fortune & will only increase in value. I bought a couple of commemorative remembrance day $2.00 coins back in around 2010. They are now worth around $250 each (in mint condition).

Ian, mate, you might like to include a note of the collection to your insurance company so they are covered. You are sitting on a motsa (large amount of money) and it would be extremely difficult (or impossible) to replace. I work with insurers in Aus so trust me on this. By the way the Akubra and Aboriginal art is awesome. I’m a Worimi man (aboriginal mob from just north of Newcastle) and each piece of art is a story. I'll also add (in case someone hasn't done so yet); In the package you received from Firbank Grammar, the 2 black and white cups are actually reusable coffee cups, meant for hot drinks. You know our coffee culture, so it's only natural that reusable coffee cups are common place. Usually you take them along to your favourite (or any) cafe and hand them to the barista instead of a single-use paper cup. The yellow band around it is so that you can hold onto it without burning your hand. That gift from Firbank Grammar is amazing! So thoughtful.

Hi Everyone, I am from Melbourne, Australia. I love that you love Australia So much. I grew up & live in the Eastern Suburbs. It takes about 30 minutes to drive to Mount Dandenong from where I live. The kids would love Healesville Sanctuary in Healesville where they have lots of Animals. Brighton is an expensive area. The Beach boxes cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to purchase. Owners are not allowed to sleep in them. Their also not allowed to rent them out. Firbank Grammer is a expensive school. Most schools here are teaching children about the environment. They also teach them about growing food, & they have veggie gardens the schools have set up. The kids learn about the soil & what they are planting, & have to look after it. They pick the veggies when they are ready, & are taught different ways to prepare & cook them. The kindergarten (For 3 & 4 year olds) in my street have their own veggie garden. Some schools even have chickens. Hope everyone stays safe.🇦🇺

If you ever make it to Aus' you would be welcomed with open arms I'm sure, but you would need a good couple months to take your time to experience all that we have here just in Victoria, beautiful rainforests, country Hospitality and river front camping grounds, mountain ranges and native wildlife at Healesville Sanctuary etc. And it doesn't have to cost you much at all if you get local knowledge. Max Walker was an Australian Cricketer & later Commentator. Max was known for his unorthodox bowling style as well as his unique style of cricket commentating with a long slow drawl. Max's tall tales were the best which were turned into books. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpjGg5aHhKd4hqM Max flogging a bug spray in the 70's whilst he was still playing.

Hi to Ian and family - I went for an interview at Firbank Grammar for an IT job many years ago. Even though I did not get the job, it seemed like a good place to send your kids to school. You are receiving some great gifts, but even your mail openings are very entertaining. Keep up the good vibes. Ian, there is a store in my town called Diecast Heaven - I don't dare go in there as I would like to spend too much money :)

I wanna go back in age to attend Firbank Grammar School . What a great sounding place! On another subject... Pedro is always beautifully dressed, like a Gentleman Cowboy. I am 60 and we are probably close in age. Tell him I like his style. Little Emma looks like a baby Linda Ronstadt (who is part Mexican) with the black hair and lovely dark eyes. I enjoy watching your family having fun at mail time. Cheers from Parramatta, Sydney, New South Wales.

You may be interested that the USA actually made coins for Australia back in World War 2! The United States Mint had their San Francisco branch supplement Australia’s coin production namely our pre decimal 2 shilling bit also known as the Florin and colloquially called the “ 2 Bob “ bit during 1942 to 1944 and the American Aussie coin can be identified by a small “S” below the “coat of arms” your numismatist uncle may already know this and would be interesting to know whether he does! 👍

And that’s not even boarding! With boarding fees $63,000! My daughter goes to a school that costs $8,000 and the most expensive in our city is $13,000 and I thought those fees were a lot. I’m so interested to know the facilities and opportunities in schooling that justify those fees. It must be some next level type shit.
