Another incredibly beautiful transformation! Seeing what they were like before, even without being able to smell them, I would probably have taken them from the lady too for the same reason you did. But being a person with compassion and no vision for what they could be I would have taken them straight to the dump! I'm really glad you're the one who got them! 👍😀💖

Holy smokes,! What a transformation. So glad you took the pieces. I think what sets you apart from other people is that you actually restore these pieces to their former glory. Anybody can slap on a coat of paint but it takes a true artist (even a reluctant one. Lol) to hilite the woodgrain on those drawers, the details of the feet and even those handles. But best of all, is that you inspire people to look beyond the ugly or even their bias and see potential and beauty instead. Bravo!

Usually when I buy an old piece, the hardware is the first thing I think about changing. But I really like the original hardware here and I'm glad you kept it. I know these were a lot of work, but they turned out gorgeous and thank you for giving these pieces a new life. Someone is going to love them for years to come.

That custom color with the white wash looks so good! Love those handles! Just ordered some of the odor killing primer. I am glad that you pointed it out before, because being able to apply clear primer to the inside is cheaper than waxing the entire inside (and probably a time saver.) I recently discovered your Restoration Fail where you tried to bring a piece back to life for a charity/contest of some sort and had to switch to a different piece. I was intrigued, so I went back to the beginning and have been binge watching your videos. This transformation is, so far, the most stunning change. It's ridiculous how good this is and the extent of the difference. I owned pieces like this a long time ago. I'm an older person so, to me, this isn't vintage; it's what I know. I got rid of them ages ago because I didn't think there was any hope for them. The old rule was that you never bothered with laminate of any type, and avoided fixing veneered products when you encountered them. I have learned SO much from watching your videos. You are an absolute inspiration; and you have a true artist's eye for colour, combinations, and application. Also, you're in Nova Scotia in the Annapolis valley, which makes you pretty much perfect, imnsho. 🥰 Relatives on my mother's side still live there, and I know the area well, though I don't get over there nearly as often as I'd like. I'm so very glad I stumbled across your channel. I wish you every success and hope you can keep the channel going. :)

WOW! You aren't kidding, they came out so amazing and they started out so bad! I love the wood grain and the white wash. Usually I'm not a fan of white washing but you've done several pieces that I really love when they're finished. Thanks for loving the wood so much. I do too and it's hard for me to see a reason to paint when it's a beautiful solid wood piece. It's always fun to see your end results, thanks for sharing them with us.
