I wish this engine 245/265 Hemi's were easily available in the USA......Thank you for sharing this Mirabito!!!!!!!!!!! 70's model technology enhanced by attention to detail and yeah, it would have beaten the Fords and Holdens at Bathhurst !!

Great job again mate , the old 265 is a great old motor. Used to kick my mates hot 308 in the ass with my uncles rusted out Cl wagon when i was a kid. Mopar really killed them all with their engines.

I was one of those guys with the e49 set up in my centura. Missed those few important details. It went hard but could have been better. Unfortunately 20 years ago no you tube so was pretty much alone in the dark with it besides a mate or 2 and hemi performance ( not as helpful lol)

If you don't already know about Uncle Tony's Garage I'd recommend him, he is an American Mopar guy who loves all things Mopar. He has a thing for the slant six, obviously not a Hemi but has spoken about the Hemi six- I never knew it was really an Aussie only engine, which I'm sure you already knew but I didn't! The yanks never had it! He's never seen one in the flesh, only read and watched about them on KZbin- maybe your channel. If he hasn't maybe shoot him a message, I'm sure he'd be amazed at what you do.

E49s aint much chop??? Did I hear him right? I had exact same ute with stock 265 (not E49 spec) and it was blowing the doors of my brothers built commodore. I love the 265 and I haven't even had an E49 spec yet haha

Peak performance engine in the 265ci range Chrysler put out in the 70s. Camshaft designation..was E49, the largest factory cam available

No it's not a BMW 🤣 E49 :- Valliant by Chrysler, Charger. Had a couple of VH orange with black stripe std 265ci Hemi top speed 120mph only had 3spd auto ran out of rpm at top end... needed OD. Was the fastest thing to 50km at the lights just needed to stab the gas and under 3secs your @ 60 ks😊 heavy old cars.
