Why choose to put yourself in danger by recklessly sleeping outside when you know full well dangerous wildlife in the area. Not to mention no 911 medivac or good hospitals in the area. Causing unnecessary stress for friends.

People are foolish and arrogant! They think they can run off a Male Lion just by standing and yelling at them! They traverse Dangerous River System s with Extremely Dangerous Animal s like Hippos and Salt Water Crocodile s in nothing but low ridding rubber canoe s and kayak s! Unbelievable! And that's not bravery! That's Stupidity! Lions are Natural Man eater'! With a Rich History of doing just that!

South African here! Lions actually don't eat humans unless pressed. Centuries of human encroachment has taught them to fear humans, because humans mean guns and death and trouble. They typically have to be desperate to go after people, since even deep in the bush, they'll prefer livestock. Humans just don't have the calories to be worth the effort and danger. Gary was still a dumbass though, I can't defend him, he CHOSE that fate. Yell at a lion. If a lion is in the area, YOU pay HIM rent. Not the other way around. That's his house now. Also got nothing to say about the kayak stuff. That was inexcusable. You don't live here and pull that and expect to be okay. This actually almost happened to my mom once - but she was in a MUCH bigger, MUCH safer boat that just happened to spring a leak 🤣😅 Budget for the honeymoon you can have, not the honeymoon you want.
