A Lancaster crashed a few miles outside Wolverhampton during the war years. Unfortunately all Crew Members were lost. There's a nearby Pub called "The Lancaster" in memory of the Crew. PS My Brother was based at Coningsby many years ago, he's in his 70's now.

the third aircraft is a US B25 Mitchell and did you know when making the famous 1969 movie of 'the Battle of Britain' they used a specially modified B25 as a camera aircraft flying alongside the other planes

What a shame it was raining, that would have been lovely to watch in the dry.. fantastic plane. Maybe loud sounds for little chick not sure on spelling. Sorry is the unknown plane a decota.. when you see the plans the poor airman flew in the war you wonder how they kept up there. I like east Kirby a lot. I enjoy going to waddington , if your lucky you will see the arrows there amongst other things. Lovely watching them . Things were so basic weren’t they. Guess people were so much smaller than today weren’t they, so I guess they would have fitted into the smaller spaces easy enough.
