Summer, that was my exact thoughts when he blamed the drink and his mother-in-law for visiting him at his home. So did he tell his fiancee at the time. Men that blame the household for dressing so attractive and would blame his wife for not being as attractive. They never accept responsibility. Then he did speak as if that male child should be rightfully his own and its wrongfully claimed by father-in-law. This man is playing the role of a victim. If its all the truth., his wife and FIL are the victims here. Then look how he said he feels like divorcing his wife? Summer, I agree generally with your thoughts on this except one notably: the question of whose ammunition hit the target. For me it's very easy to believe him on that. Mind you the mother-in-law has been married for long. There's the fact that her husband desperately wanted a son. That alone could have created tension within the couple, plus so many other factors that could cause tension in a marriage. That could mean that sex between them wasn't that frequent, which could have made the wife (mother-in-law) disposed to other birds 😉. I've heard/read of cases of couples who stay more than a month without having sex together! So it's as simple as the affair with the wayward son-in-law happening within the window of ovulation when she's sure she didn't have sex with her husband, so she can easily ascribe it to the lover/son-in-law.

It is only natural for some men to think that way because that is how an average Nigerian home raise their children.
