I've heard somewhere, that the reason Avatar was so successful word-wide is, because it speaks to something that every human on the planet can relate to. Feelings, culture, community and spirituality. Details differ on the world, but spiritual connection to nature is a sense and somehow often a forgotten desire, that deep down, every one of us has. Originating from the early ages of humanity. Think about the wall paintings and ceremonies that our ancestors had.

Avatar shows us what personhood looks like. We are not the somatic cells that make up a hairless bipedal ape with large chin and protuding nose, those things dont make us human. This film explores the question of what makes us human without being tribalistic refuse. Sapient aliens are persons despite not being biologically human. A ‘person’ is not merely a ‘biological human’. Some day morons will try to deny personhood to sapient aliens by asking ‘what is a person’. This film is a preemptive rebuttal to their base primate tribalism.

"Gravity" would be a great next movie for them -- as well as educational of what space is really like.

I love this film, it is so beautiful. The world building and design is exquisite and every time I watch it and can pay attention to all the details I see more and more just how incredible it is. The sequel is stunning too.

the cuts were so good 😳 I probably saw avatar back in 2010 but i am very sure that all the important stuff was kept in this shortened version!
@MacCheekz1990
@MacCheekz1990 Жыл бұрын
The cuts were good because they actually watched the reaction video and not the whole movie itself. At several points you were able to hear different commentary and then even cuts of chairs, which I immediately recognized as being the reaction video of Holden Hardman.

@@MacCheekz1990 Oh my god that is just horrible. You only get to experience the movie for the first time once, and they give them a butchered up series of clips. Pisses me off honestly, and couldn't stand watching this video.

This was really great to watch. I am impressed that the old man has such an intention span. Many older people have difficulties concentrating for such a long time or even following the baseline. This old gentlemen never disappoints and the beautiful young lady was very pleasant as well :) Loved it.

I guess it gets easier with a script. That kinda nullifies the need for thinking. I actually didn't figure it out myself, but this comment section has pointed out proof enough. It's sad, because it kills the charm of this channel. I actually thought that it was all genuine. But it makes more sense that it isn't, of course. As the saying goes: when something appears too good to be true, it usually is.

I remember when I first saw Avatar, it blew me away. I'm glad they enjoyed it too. It was great seeing their reactions. I noticed they were also quick to pick up on subtle scenes like when Jake was having bow and arrow lessons and gave the girl "a look" when she got close to him.
@Sandlund93
@Sandlund93 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's almost as if their ability to pick up on subtleties like this is bordering on superhuman. I have watched dozens of their reactions and they never fail. Well, at least this comment section figured it out, it's all scripted. They didn't even watch the entire movie in this one. If they ever did.
