That is true but I was very disappointed that the drag star is ci4 plastic 🤦‍♂️. For 300 bucs at the least it should’ve been aluminum. Still a great reel though.

the JDM SLX bfs came out with the MGL III first in Japan technically, so that most likely means first to the U.S. market.

Nick RX , Not just Da Reel ,, U been Leading the way on a big scale w “bfs” so Big UPS to U Bro , since it’s not as small but superlite it probly is a magnesium aluminum alloy ( Mg ) , one thing on Spoos- if they r Mega thin dey can be vulnerable to pitting along the rails that ride along the frame ( Only As A Precaution I Mean )- All Salt Anglers Should Low Pressure Rinse their Reels & Rods w Warm Water & “bfs oil “ Reel Afterward ,,, Also ,,, Local Salty Utuber showed where da “danco” fillet knives w black Teflon R stayin razor sharp even after 100+ fish processed ! Wow 🤓🐟🇺🇸✨

Nick RX , My Wadefishing Partner had got a brand new Chronarch C3 w da Red Spool ( Beautiful Reel ) & I think it was rated for fresh water ,,,That Spool was So Thin that the Spool Flanges pitted & deteriorated to where the braided line would get hung on every cast & on retrieve as well ,,, He sent it back for replacement twice until they sent him one last spool w no more replacements warranted esp w salt water Use w It ,,, As U mentioned , if reels are not rated for Salt Environment , they will become Damaged by Corrosion In Due Time ,,, Just Sayin ,,, Please be Advised About Usage Labeling w Shimano World Class Products ,,,🐟🦅🇺🇸✨

Still thinking about getting it.... just don't like the magnetic contol wheel... unlike the Daiwa Alphas (which is beautifully done)... this makes the 22 Aldie look cheap... compared to the 16 Aldie which is such a beauty..... I bought 2 at a go.... 😜. Need to slowly let it grow on me.... I will take my time to get over the look.... 😬😵

I was going to buy a aldebaran but I think I going to change my mind I got the daiwa gekkabijin I think about buy two more Daiwa gekkabijin it’s more bearings plus it not graphite or plastic shimano needs to get rid of who in the world design there Reels Daiwa stepping up with there Products A-1 DAIWA
