Gary, I just want to say your channel is wicked. I've been following a lot of West Ham channels since the start of the last season when I first found them and I have to say, you speak very fairly and are very reasonable in your assessments of affairs. You said in your first video since you left Claret and Booze that Nick was the best at what he does and whilst he does have showmanship, I think your takes are often much more critical and thought out. It’s interesting the thinking behind this set of incoming players, how we are going to setup and how the plan B will change thing’s and no longer being able to pick the team before their announced each game. Lopetegui has given the incumbent senior and youth players a fair chance over the pre-season games, but it’s obvious that a number are not capable to fulfil the technical requirements of a JLo team. Now let’s see how well they do moving on and if it improves the budget, the squad looks like it’s going to be very interesting.

Agree m8 , love Antonio, he admits he's lost a bit of pace & he even said he might not last the 90 mins but hell run himself into the ground until ha's done and has no problems with being subbed. He can still score, & hold up the ball well and hassle/ bully other players , I bet he's a nightmare to play against . A westham legend imo

He was brought back to early with the hamstring injurys as we hand no one I mean no one and that wasnt his fault I think he lost some pace .. when you think his had his day he proves us wrong . He is old school, clawed his way up the ladder the hard way No airs or graces, no prima donna attitude, always time for the fans always a smile, crazy loveable larger than life character I mean who dresses up as a snowman or anything like that then jumps into their lambo and crashes it because he couldn't see fk all , lol . He spent years under Moyes playing alone upfront "playing off scraps " as he so rightly put it, a thankless task Some 'fans ' gave him stick when he didn't score for a while Many said he was done again and again , I'll hold my hands up I was one of those who thought he was done. But just like you said he would come back and prove the doubters wrong. Underappreciated by many imo , taken for granted by Moyes And yes your right he was brought back to early from injury and pumped full of painkillers just to get him through each game . The word legend is often used to frequently and not always deserved ( ive heard many say paqueta is a legend, a great player yes , but whu legend , not imo , ) But Antonio is a club legend and 110% deserves it . I'm 62 and seen more players than I can remember come and go , Antonio easily gets into my all time top 10 westham favourites.

Gary, how about Celtic's right fullback and Canadian international Alistair Johnston as a cover/replacement for Coufal. Johnston had a great Copa America, like the rest of "Les Rouges," and was named to the tournament's first XI. I have watched Johnston play for Canada for a long while now and he has excelled. He's progressed at every level he's risen to, has a great attitude and work ethic, and would likely be relatively inexpensive. Thoughts?

I can vouch for O'Reilly (not a celtic supporter) but being Scottish born and bred ive watched this player many times and he just oozes quality and before anyone says "Scottish football " how many teams put 4 past the EPL champions and the chelsea muppets even if its in pre season??? Also on a realistic line up for the season Gary not forgetting Alvarez has still to come bk from injury, Rodriguez and Alvarez in a pivot role with Paqueta in front of them with Kudus and Bowen and Fulkrug up front 😉 a 42121 formation which again has ots flexibility to other formations.
