My brother lives in Florida & was absolutely stoked that West Ham are playing there. He went to the game & I woke up this morning to a massive rambling text about how poor we are. How we need half a dozen players. How Sullivan is a terrible owner. West Ham will never change. I don’t think he enjoyed it 😂😂
@kevwhufc8640Ай бұрын
@@markyboy7012 Sullivan is a terrible owner, it was a stupid idea creating this US tour , what with a new manager having to un- Moyes the brains of our players into learning a completely different style , and other players yet to return He needed ( probably wanted) as much time with them all as possible just to rearrange everything, a few local ( London area) behind closed doors games would've been much better. ..but Sullivan will never learn never have a clue about things like that or interfering with signings , etc ,etc.. I Just wish he'd f'off asap ⚒

Studio is coming on nicely mate, good job on that. Great report, as always. I'm stunned by Villa's attitude in the Duran deal. Not that I'm overly enamoured of Duran's behaviour either. If he ends up coming then great, but does it have to be so difficult. AWB deal similarly, although getting the price down by forcing ManU's hand seems to have worked. Problem is we need these players in and training in the Lopetegui system now. Season is looming.
@GaryKillingtonАй бұрын
Yes exactly, it's a huge problem not being able to have a complete team to work with his new playing style. I feel a slow start to the season coming on.

Wolves fan here. Give Lopetegui time (and money) and he will do well for you. The question is whether Sullivan a co will give him either of those things. At Wolves he played a fairly negative style but had to in order to keep us up - which he did. Had he been given more time and money I think he would have adapted to a more attacking style. For this game you looked a couple of weeks behind Wolves in terms of preparation but that is what pre-season is for. Both teams are missing internationals but Wolves looked hungrier with the younger lads putting in an application for the first team this year. Kilman will do well for you. Good guy, good footballer but not really a captain in my view (which he was at Wolves). Good luck for the season.
@GaryKillingtonАй бұрын
Thanks mate, you're saying what I hope turns out to be true. Fact is though, will Sullivan back him? I just don't know the answer to that but if not then he knows what happens next. I think like you say given the backing he will deliver, and all managers - especially one with his profile - need to be backed.

I wouldn't be surprised if Loppy doesn't really want the guy I reckon Its Sullivan, he will chase and chase because like a big kid or a dog with a bone he just won't let it go , Tbh I don't really know anything about the player but looking at his stats and the lack of interest from any other club ( none that I know of) I just don't get it, Seems a lot of money for someone who doesn't seem to have a lot to big himself up, and i hate the way he's carrying on , crossing his arms , and all the rest while he's with another club. We knew arnautovic was a bastard ( in a good/ bad way) but at least he was quality, even before Moyes changed his position anyone watching him before he came to westham knew he was a talented bastard.

It seems all the new manager needs is about a 70% clear out and replacement of last year's best team!! There aren't too many managers knocking about who couldn't better their predecessor's efforts if they can get that. But this guy's track record suggests it's likely he's already got both hands full of toys ready for hurling out of the pram. Best of luck, Hammers.

As a Wolves fan, I do judge J-Lo to be a good manager - after all he kept us up when we were rock bottom and in dire straits and somehow completely rebuilt the squad - but I wouldn't trust him an inch. First sign of trouble or just the sniff of a better job and he'll be off. That's just how he seems to roll. Anyway, good luck with the season. Besides the Judas, West Ham are a fine club and I've always liked them.
@GaryKillingtonАй бұрын

Wan bissaka is a great player unfortunately for other clubs they don’t leave United easily Toney again is a top player but I dare say now he’s anEngland international he’d have a wide choice of clubs to choose from if he wants to move your saying Kilman isn’t a leader you’re 100% correct when JLO made him skipper it ruined him we at Wolves were usually agreeable that kilman was better playing next to a leader ie Cody and Dawson with JLO I found when we were getting hammered which happened quite often he couldnt change things around all the theatrics on the touch line mean nothing at the end of the day really like your channel will visit again👍👏🏻
@GaryKillingtonАй бұрын
WB wants to come back to London apparently and he doesn't have too many options. As for Toney, West Ham is his level because the so-called big 6 aren't into him. It surprised me to learn that Kilman isn't a leader, I thought we were signing a ready made captain but nonetheless, he's a very good defender.

Reports say Wan Bissaka turned us down. He wants to go to a top four club, here or in Europe. AC Milan are interested, apparently. I like the look of Duran, but at £40m, Villa's valuation is too high. They know we need a striker, so they are using that as leverage. Sullivan's penny pinching is a problem, as is his propensity for interfering in footballing issues, including transfers. No European football is also an issue. We need to move players out too, when we have the replacements. Soucek, Zouma, Antonio all need to go, the latter two because they are past their best, the former because he is not a good player and he will be even worse in a team that plays a possession based style. I don't want Toney, because a big lad up front type striker requires an old school high balls into the box style of play, which I do not want to see at the London Stadium. I would prefer a more technical forward, who wants diagonal balls into feet, of the kind that Paqueta and Kudus specialise in delivering.

Not sure it was an actual quote from the player, but either way I agree mate, it is Sullivan who yet again, irrespective of manager and director of football.

Thank you Tony and I agree. Really need a big broom to clear out all the broken/ill-fitting players and bad influences. The dressing room needs to be 100% bought into the manager’s vision and I just don’t think it is feasible that the likes of Antonio will do that, he will cause trouble if it goes wrong. Unity and dressing room harmony is more important than ever.

Me neither, it's just a friendly, but with 3 weeks to go I had hoped we would've made more signings than we have. It's a radical change in system and needs players to deliver it.

Good video Gary,didnt watch the game and I dont worry about pre season results but just seeing the likes of Cresswell,Zouma,Soucek,Ings and Cornet still here shows how much deadwood we have. I have no idea how this season is going to go,I think we need a minimum of 6 more PL ready(not 18 yr old brazilians) outfield players and paying well over the odds for Kilman is making it hard to close other deals.
@GaryKillingtonАй бұрын
I think Cress is fine as a backup in Loppy’s system because he will spend half the game high up the pitch not left 1 on 1 to defend against quick players. Ings is pointless, as is Zouma and Soucek just doesn’t fit while I do like Tomas. Vlad I think will not settle for being a backup and so he will be off too.

Nothing against the US Todd, I love the US. I work for a US company, have done for 30 years, I go there a lot. Logistically we could have played 4-5 pre-season games in the same time period. The weather is just er... the weather.

@tysonchoquette9439Ай бұрын
Disagree with you on several points. Potts offers nothing and was far from the shining star you state. Callum Marshall did more in 3 minutes that Potts did the whole 1st half. Antonio with drive and fire to do better will emerge. He has been battered for 3 years worked to death by Moyes and his system. With an actual manager who underatands how to rotate players, i think Antonio has a lot to offer the team, he still scares other teams with his physicality and one reason he gets fouled so much. We need a cb to replace Zuma that should have been the priority for the window for the last 2 years. We have failed to get that cb with size and movement to be the enforcer in the middle.

We had a weak team out and got undone by our own mistakes. Maybe we'll put up a fight but the worry is, Palace are genuinely a top team
@obsidiancurse429Ай бұрын
Spot on mate, no need to panic but shouldn’t stick our head in sand and say “it’s only preseason” either as there are concerns. 3 weeks from the season start and we don’t look like we know what we are doing. This is only compounded by we are still short in vital positions despite knowing these problems well before the window even opened. Even if we make signings now we have very little time to integrate these players into a team that are far from competent in how we play already. Minor concerns are that we paid a hideous amount of money for Wolves Captain but they look better without him and despite us having the “pearl diver” it’s wolves who got a 12mil unknown who embarrassed us.
@GaryKillingtonАй бұрын
I don’t have a problem with what we paid for Kilman because he was Wolves captain, English, in his prime and has a clean injury record. Wolves would have kept him rather than let him go cheap. Hopefully he’ll be our main CB for many years.
@gregwright7070Ай бұрын
Can't see Kante coming. Would like him but he's reportedly on about 400k per week so he would need to take massive pay cut. Also he would have tax implications as he has not been out of the uk for the required 2 years.

Wolves fan here, I come in peace. I was confused at how unorganised West Ham looked, your a good team, as good if not better than wolves currently, and jlo is a manager that gets teams organised, but you just didn’t look right last night. It’s pre season so maybe don’t read too much into it, but as a wolves fan I was expecting a tough game to get us going. If your players don’t start doing what jlo wants be prepared for a massive public meltdown from the manger. Jlo saved us from relegation, and we can’t thank him enough for it, but we know what happens when he feels the players are not doing what he is asking of them, and he will do it publicly. Good luck for the season, I expect both wolves and westham to be in the mix come may.
@GaryKillingtonАй бұрын
Yes Matt, I expected more as well. I was surprised with the team he put out first half because it had a lot of players I wouldn't see in the first team going forward. It was pretty shambolic and then he swapped them all out at half time and it got even worse. We're still without Bowen, Paqueta and Alvarez but no excuse for looking so poor. On the other hand, Wolves look good and ready for the new season. This was always gonna be a bit difficult integrating a new manager with what should be a major squad rebuild. I suspect it'll take until the end of the window to bring all the players in, it always does.

Wolves fan--- great result for us but the end of the day it’s just a friendly when JLO publicly criticised us and intimated his players weren’t good enough he had to go and thankfully Gary O Neil came in I found with JLO he couldn’t change things around when we were getting battered and that happened quite often with you saying kilman isn’t a leader you’re 100% right when JLO made him skipper it totally ruined him

Didn’t John Lyall have a nightmare preseason before the 85/86 season?

Hi Gary not a good result but as for our captain Alveraz is our best option. The board are as always dragging their feet again with new players. What is Tim doing at the moment, just get your fingers out & sing a few players & a striker.

I saw certain players in the lineup and thought has our new manager not learnt from our old one 😮

To be fair I think he is giving all players a chance to impress him. Many won’t be doing that!

Douran £40 or Tony £50. A no brainer decision. Proven experience and team player against unproven poor gamble. £10 m saved costs way more in due course. Maybe Tony price can be negotiated down. Pleasant honest and sensible overall review Gary, worth watching.

Thanks Barry and I agree, I reckon Brentford would do a deal.

Looks great mate - you've given me interior design ideas for my own - as for all things West Ham...it's all just typical West Ham although I like & can see Julen doesn't take any ...just like Georgie Parris.

Thanks Daniel, it's nowhere near finished yet, I've got a few nice deliveries to come next week or the week after, gonna totally re-do the back wall.

Thats it blame the weather and the fact you shouldnt be on a pre season tour, what should you be doing then as a club as im fairly sure every single premier league club is on a tour. As a wolves fan i will say this and its simply my own opinion however i watch a lot of football and not just Wolves. Look at your managers career in detail and you will see the same thing, he a devisive man and is always angry and will cause a divide. He's a manager for the short term just check his stats and he will divide the dressing room. Will that work well i doubt it but and im sure you will know within 12 months or less, you cant argue that he didnt save wolves from relegation but was that because of him or despite of him. Dont forget he spent over £100 million pound in his short wolves career, lets see if he is what he thinks he is or he isnt but you best hope something bigger doesn't present itself.

I wasn’t making excuses, we lost and deserved to. I was saying as a new manager with a new system every day of pre-season is crucial and wasting 2-3 weeks on only 2 games is not what we should have done at this time. We need more games not less

yes not the ideal result but we not the only premier league team to be losing games. yes we do need players but it always down to us why Transfers fail

Yeah I know Daniella and I’m not bothered by the result at all, just the flashbacks to the same players making the same mistakes as last season. Hope Loppy took note, I’m sure he did.

Hi Gary. I hope you are well. For me, Soucek needs to make way for Freddie Potts. All things have there time to shine & Soucek has had his time, now Potts needs to be given that same opportunity.
@GaryKillingtonАй бұрын
Hi mate, yes I definitely agree. Potts will need support from Loppy like Rice had from Pellegrini who kept the faith until the player started to emerge. He is most of the way there, just needs to grow confidence of regular PL football.

@@GaryKillington 100%! He will make errors, that's part of the development. As for Zouma, look @ the c*nt for their second! He's supposed to be our captain & he was barely ambling back whilst his mates are busting their balls to retrieve the situation.
