As beautiful as the houses are. The most ugly part of it all is the open drainage system especially in a quiet urban neighbourhood like this. We need to invest more on underground drainage and cable system which have seen in some estates in Lagos.

@@LasGNas I like your lack of mediocrity but, the reason for such emigration as you suppose, is not because of roads or planning- it is because of population. Population means money ; see many Igbos are moving to Asaba because of the growing population.

That's the master plan laid down by the late Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu when he was the military governor of the old Imo state. A swish company did the area survey and plan of this modern city. Those were the days we had selfless Igbo leaders, not today's chop chop corrupt governors. It's good to know that his successors are working with the plan.

Every Eastern State has its uniqueness and beauty. Imo state should not copy but instead draw inspiration from Ebonyi state road network. We could choose to have a different type of road layout which makes us distinguishable from other Eastern States.

Nigeria is not as populated and overcrowded as the international community believe. Outside of a few of the more commercial cities like Lagos and maybe Kano, where everyone goes, Nigeria is sparsely inhabited. Some of our terrorism problems may be related to this. People from outside Nigeria can migrate into Nigeria en mass, set up communities in vast empty spaces and our government and people would be none the wiser.
