I personally use reminders for all my notes, ideas, text analysis, organizing literally everything, its almost perfect but ive just looked for other options because you cant double subtask a reminder, this is really cool, thanks.

SCROLL is AMAZING 💪❤... They need to up their game on marketing. I cannot find another KZbin on that wonderful app. Also I hope they come out with a macOS version. It's so simple but so genius at the same time. It all allows your brain to function in a very simple, smooth way.

For the rocket typist one, you can actually do that natively in the keyboard settings in the main settings app. Just go to replace text. I use it for my really long email username which I made spawn in by typing “@@@“

I have Rocket Typist, my only issue is - from Apple's side - that they don't allow to set the keyboard as a hardware keyboard. I need to open the virtual Rocket Typist keyboard on my screen to use it. It makes no sense with the MagicKeyboard, That's why I don't use it on my iPad. :( It works fine on macOS.

Is no one else concerned about having a “local AI “on your computer/iPad? Who’s getting all the data that you were putting in there?

It’s not new. How do you think text prediction works? Computers have been learning our behaviour for a while now. Not everything labelled AI is bad. Data collection is bad for nefarious use, but Google and Facebook been doing this for over a decade now. I hate how prompt based image generators work, but mostly because it’s not local. It’s just using other people’s art, and it makes it super counter intuitive if you are a creative who has something on their mind. Typing is very counter intuitive for an image and you have to do a bunch of dull work on an image that has no layers making it extra hard. Especially when basic stuff like color fill is still pretty crap in some situations.

I think you’ve got it backward, you WANT local ai (Siri, running on your neural chip). Cloud AI on the other hand is when data gets sent off your device.
