See the trick is... fly out, drive a rental back with all your goods! Thank you so much for tagging us along. I am really interested in your basket case...lol puns intended! When you hot me hooked on WN I ran across a lady that buys estate leftovers and storage. She bought an estate where the elderly couple had been missionaries for years. They had a bunch of items they used to take to churches back home to show and tell about their travels in Africa, so they could get funds and other items ready to go again. So the items I bought have little papers telling, where, when and materials. I bought a couple of nice grass baskets for $1 each. No other interest in them. I'd really like to learn more about them. Right now I have them bagged in the closet away from my cats.

Hi Danni - I learned last week that I am being laid off from a big company after 9 years. I'm 71 and I'm tired of the corporate life. Thanks to you (and a few other KZbin resellers), I have a new lucrative and interesting job ahead of me by being a thrifting reseller! I started watching you before the pandemic, and I was hooked. I've watched a lot of videos and I've done a lot of research, and other folks say that I have a "good eye" for finding good stuff. My problem has been that I've been too busy working the corporate job to get organized and motivated to post and sell things. Well howdy...that has now changed. I'm looking forward to selling things locally (not on eBay, etc.) because if I had to box up and ship items, I'd become more bogged down than I am now. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that you have most positively impacted my retirement life. Bless your little heart (from Texas).

Danni, I thought you were picking up that Piano baby! I used to collect antique, mostly German, bisque dolls, and the piano babies fell into the doll category bc they were made by a German doll maker by the name of Gebruder Heubach. ( His piano babies sell better than his dolls) Later ones were made in Japan, but they never matched the beauty of the German ones! You won't find a mark on the bottom of them. Somewhere on the back of the figurine, you'll find a little round mark, usually in the baby's clothing, and inside the round stamp, is a sun sign with the DEP in it also ( deposé, meaning imported) The little round makers mark was part of the mold, so it was not something that could fall off, it's always there! For the longest time, I also restored and restrung the composition body dolls, as many, who had been well loved and stored away forever, their elastic rope that connected the body parts and the head together, would disintegrate, or the sleep eyes, that were tricky to fix, but were set in the eye sockets with plaster of Paris! But it was such an accomplished feeling to know that you had put someone's treasured family heirloom back together! Unfortunately, the antique doll market dropped severely around 2008 - 2009, and doll values plummeted! I was fortunate to have sold off a large part of my collection just prior to that, bc ironically, while my children were growing up, if they told me that my dolls were creepy, I'd tell them to get over it! LOL But as soon as my first grandchild came along and told me they were creepy, that was it! They all got taken down and sold! Except for a couple of tubs that I kept, but have been put away for years now! Anyway, I always love to see someone else with a passion for dolls as I have had! That antique shop that you and Dawn went to was absolutely the best! Have a safe trip home! ❤

FYI the Fenton color is called Orange Rose. You saw the yellow case ruffled bowl with the orange color inside. That style is known as a daffodil and it came in white with yellow inside rim or the yellow with the orange rose color.

Omg those lamps are breathtaking 😊 Love your turtle and heart rings ❤ they are so you! When I was in my 20s and 30s, I had over 100 sterling rings that I was obsessed with. My daughter loved them since she was little. So on her 25th birthday I gifted most of them to her... now she wears them all the time, which makes me so happy 😊 She had them appraised for insurance reasons, and some of them were worth a crazy amount of money. That colored chandelier is stunning ❤ and those purses 👛 are amazing!

Question... does Fenton pieces always have a signature??? I was at a yardsale and a lady had several pieces for fifteen dollars each including one that one piece came out of the center of the main piece... nothing had a signature.... I walked away.... I have two Murano blue/green starfish dishes... I've had them for years... Got them in a bunch of stuff given to me at a yard sale pickup at the end of the day... And I always watch to the end!

Solution to your furnishing dilemma: buy a chateau in the French countryside (so cheap it's not funny)...go shopping in brocantes and markets....keep tortoises in their own orangerie...Noah could race at Le Mans...Rachael could study art at the Sorbonne...I mean...no brainer. 😊😂

Not all candleholders are meant to come in pairs and even if it started out as a pair, grouping a single with other decorative items can look even nicer. I get that maybe a pair demands a higher reselling price but if it's nice enough it's worth picking up.

Dani BOLO... I just learned your Deja Blue store is closing. 50% Off Jun 15-17 and 75% Off Jun 18-19. When another person was in there today there was a lot of beautiful art glass. Looking through the camera I would guess Boho, Czech did not look Chinese. Lots of cats and elephants, bowls... the shelves were so full. The signs said discount applies to all colored tags not new items. Maybe seniors day you could pop in before the sales start.
