Another day's very hard work, and so worthwhile. Well done! Thanks to your sterling efforts, I reckon your brook's becoming quite picturesque (in its own way). It's like a secret world, hidden away, and you've become its caretaker. I think that's really great! Thanks so much for all your dedication and intriguing videos!

Great job with this stream. I think it did help the flow. A good knife might help with the fabric especially one with a partially serrated or scalloped blade. Got lots of rubbish out of that one fairly short section of stream! Keep up the great work. 👍

Hi Deacon thanks for your comment and support. I think on this occasion I was in the area for apx 2 hrs - I tend to check my previous locations to make sure they are OK and then the do the work you saw. I also did a bit of work afterwards (that's a separate video). So yes very tired and dirty 😄 but happier and fitter 😊

Excellent video, but I expected nothing less :D You might have been able to move that giant log, with the one skinny end. Levering logs around by making them stand on their heavier end requires half (or less) of the force that it would take to pick it up. Also, you definitely need to have someone look into that weak, wack, heckin’ hacksaw. The blade shouldn’t be falling out every few seconds. As for the weir-like rock at the end, yeah, a hammer and chisel would likely do the trick, but I bet you could just crack it down the middle with one solid whack from a sledgehammer. It might suck to take a sledgehammer there, though, so just be careful not to smash your thumb if you go for a chiseling. Thank you for doing what you do, and letting us see it as well :)

You care about the fishies, gather the rubbish, and haul tons of timber. That makes you a triple-threat: environmentalist/binwoman/lumberjill!

You're doing a good job with that brook. It looks better than when you first found it, which is all you can ask for. Re the weir. As a believer in brute force and ignorance, could you create a small-ish channel through it using a hammer and chisel? That would allow more water to flow along the brook. Just a suggestion. Keep up the good work.

Could just do one swing with a sledgehammer, crack the middle.
