Im new to the EV world and have only charged my car on the octopus overnight tariff at 7p pkw. I am petrified charging the car at these type of charging stations as most have apps. If they were all contactless it would be far easier😂

These RFID cards should be available for FREE from any local store or station already, cash top up. NONE of this "App" Crap Smartphone rubbish. Smartphones are for zombified idiots. If they sold a Smartphone that said "Welcome moron, take a picture of your backside and watch it sideways", thousands of idiots would still buy it.

We used them for the first time last year, on several occasions and had no trouble. So not happey to hear that you have to give them your details just to charge, unless you get a big discount on the charging rate as 54p sound pritty good to me. Good to see you again!!

Can you drive this car in the rain or in a puddle or will you get a shock?

It's rain and puddle proof but I wouldn't advise trying to drive through flood water. You can also charge up in the rain 👍

Have you visited another more recently? Wonder how surprised you are at the 1 or 2 ecotricity machines at 50kw suddenly being 6 or 12x 300kw. I've been very impressed with the change - but they need to keep up the pace.

It may be a slow charge for you in a car, but for me on an Ebike it's a fast charge, all you need is an adapter and away you go.

Oh great. So I could have a Nissan Leaf without having to have a special charging unit installed in my house? I can just use a regular outlet? I don't mind the speed of charging, the important thing is that I don't have to get things installed.

Hello, I'm visiting Switzerland for the first time and will be renting a EV for the first time 😂 so just want to know almost everything about EV's, is it a good idea since I will be driving across country from Geneva up till Zurich and many places in between, please advise if there are enough fast charging spots, how much does it cost on an average to get a full charge and how long does it takes on fast charging stations? Please reply

Ever noticed that sometimes when using a debit card you are asked to chip and pin? This is a card requirement if you use it frequently. Instavolt chargers decline your debit card when it wants to do chip and pin. Either use a different card or try the app.

I wholeheartedly agree, I am a diesel owning driver and have been watching ev related KZbin content for years, and have heard these references to difficulty charging for years from friends and family. I am now about to purchase my first ev 🤞🏽 and have no fears about my day to day charging, some concerns about my yearly trips to Newcastle from Cardiff, but looking at the podpoint app and Zapmap apps that I’ve downloaded my concerns are fading, so much so I’ve discounted the i3 with rangefinder and have a test drive scheduled for an all electric i3 & Kona. By the way I downloaded the podpoint app after your vlog on the Tesco chargers, I have a Tesco near me. Thanks 👍

Could you curve the pipe or put a bend at the end? Even putting a bend at the top of the pipe might help but not if the rest is totally straight. That’s how rivers slow themselves with meandering. Otherwise you have to put an energy dissipation device…

Hello again. Nice work re the barrel. If the Council won't remove the fridge, it might be a good idea if you go back with a nice big hammer and break the lock/hinges. I have read of small children locking themselves inside fridges and suffocating. On that happy note I will say bye-bye until the next vid. Take care. Ps. what about removing that concrete 'tunnel'.
@PlanetSavingNovice

Hi Colin, thanks for your comment. I've been thinking about going back to try and dismantle it and / or phone the council (next vid I reckon). You're trying to kill me off with that concrete tunnel 😅 but I agree, it does need something doing to it 🤔

Blimey, PSN, that was really exhausting to watch! But the barrel met its match and you lived to tell the tale. I reckon you previously made such a good job of unblocking the brook (after how many years of neglect?) that on this trip you were probably surveying the fruits of your own labours. Hard core environmentalism at its best! Thanks so much! 👍🤗

Great video just helping show the vast variety of chargers & companies out there now. Seems 0.65pKhW is an average cost based on experience from colleagues lately, some reaching up to 0.80p! 😮 here’s hoping for some simplicity in the charging approach moving forward from all these companies 🤞🏻

Good video - seems to echo what I have found. I recently did a trip that required the use of four rapid charges all chip and pin with no drama’s. The price at £0.65kW/h has actually come down and I don’t think is too bad when compared to the £0.40kW/h which is my home day rate. The public charging network has improved a lot. There is more to be done but there are a lot of businesses & organisations active in progressing this.
