"You can smell the sh*t from five miles away" may be the best line in the entire series.

What Ramsay did to Sansa is way worse than Dany's first time with Khal Drogo. Ramsay is sadistic and it's likely that he is doing everything he can to cause her pain... You can hear it in her screams.
@camillamarie8522 ай бұрын
This is a very important distinction. In the books, Dany takes the initiative with Drogo, leading his hand and fingers to her intimate parts, mainly because he took his time to be gentle with her even though she was scared and sad at first. Ramsay, on the other hand, is a proven sadist who delights in tormenting and inflicting pain on everyone around him, such as having his hounds chase and attack people and smiling while they get eaten alive. It's no different, what he did to Sansa; he knew damn well how vulnerable and scared she was, and he did his utmost to make it a terrifying, painful experience for her.
@robtintelnot91072 ай бұрын
Meh. Ramsay did nothing wrong. He was solidifying the marriage and made Theon watch as the traditional witness. It's not r-word because Sansa agreed to it.
@camillamarie8522 ай бұрын
@@robtintelnot9107 consummating a marriage is one thing, tormenting and hurting people while doing it is another. If you really believe he did nothing wrong by inflicting terrible pain upon his new wife in their marriage bed, and gleefully making a man, who he's tortured for weeks, watch it against his will, I worry for the people around you. It takes a special kind of stunted mindset to witness something like that and go "meh, whatever", even if it is just a TV series.

@@camillamarie852 Si, that Mech has impacted me, even if you don't love Sansa, he is very hard, (but Jeyne Poole goes through it... another important thing about the books is that Drogo on subsequent nights was not so tender or honorable with his wife...

Sansa needed it, a great suffering is needed to grow.

Sansa's story is so sad, she has been used as 'goods' to be traded - a valuable asset - since she was 13 years old! She may be becoming stronger, and has certainly learned to be clever and resilient, but she's still not free to be her own person 😣

This is the beginning of the end for season 5. If you can believe it, it just gets worse and worse right up to the end credits roll in the finale.

You are not wrong except that the whole show, not just s5 is on a downward spiral. It is hard to watch any of the reactors, sometimes I quit at the end of S6 because there are some great scenes to come, but mostly I quit after S4.

What happened to Sansa is reprehensible beyond belief, especially after my favorite line when she tells Ramsay's doll to be gone, and her immense growth as she becomes more hardened. However, I have a problem with how people direct their frustrations past the 4th wall to the show, rather than Ramsay (the character). Is what happened to Sansa, worse than what Craster's wives and daughters suffered for years? And after he was gone, those horrible night's watch mutineers did even worse, yet no one said anything. Is it worse that pushing a 10 yr old boy out the window, and losing his beloved ability to climb forever? Is it worse than seeing so many infant children of Robert "ended" unjustly? Is it worse than seeing an unborn kid, "ended" at the famous wedding? Is it worse than what Theon went through? That practice is the worst thing that can happen, and we get prolonged scenes of that "entertainment". Yet we hear few complaints. I try not to be a hypocrite and have double standards. This is clearly a world full of horrible things that happen to people everyday. Stop arbitrarily choosing the only ones you care about and equating them to greatest crimes against humanity.

25:55 I was waiting to see how angry you'd get at the ending because of how much you like Sansa. 😢 I always skip that scene on rewatches. One of the top 3 worst scenes of the show, IMO. Glad you made it through. Ironically the Rains of Castermere isn't even on the top 3 list but the jaime/Cersei infrastructure of Jottfrey's dead body, this scene and one more later on are my top 3. You'll know it when you see it!

This never happened in the books. Sansa never married Roose. This was all the brainfart of Dan and Dave. A completely different character was presented as Aria to Roose but it was actually a companion to Sansa that went with her to kings landing in the beginning.

Littlefinger would never have left Sansa with that monster, but the series put Sansa instead of Jeyne Pool, fake Arya, for short characters, Ramsay son of Roose Bolton, without a doubt

Until the final season, this was the lowest rated episode of the whole show. In part because the Dorne stuff is weird and the last scene was so disturbing, but especially because neither of those things are from the book. Sansa is not the one married off to Ramsay in the books so, while it's implied that he's still this horrible, we never actually have to witness this kind of assault, and they took the best charscters out of the book version of the Dorne plot and made the actual story boring and nonsensical. So people were not only mad about what was happening, they were mad that it was an unforced error. There was still book material to work with and they choose to ignore it and go with this?? So infuriating
