Nice unit, looks very well packaged. Great layout and explanation on everything that was packaged. The install portion of this video is incredible! That 'HD' camera is not true HD, sorry a 720P or higher signals will not travel over the RCA style jacks, unless it was to use an RGB or 3 RCA cable setup. I only know this from working in the TV industry. The camera looks much better than the stock unit. It looks like the compressed the signal to force it down the wire to make this work, that is a pretty cool trick! I absolutely dig that ultra slick and clean look. It has some very nice features (I watched the 2nd video) I love that launch screen too.

FYI... I saw a video that showed you can actually pull up and twist the gear shift counter clockwise and it will pop off so you don't have to remove the center console.

@@EliteOnTheBeat It was simple enough. Installed in my 2015 CTS VSport. The install has some differences for the CTS. If you have an ATS then this guide will walk you straight through it. My only issue was the unit did not work with my stock backup camera so I ended up installing the one that came with the unit. Other thing is when playing audio from installed apps on the unit, it doesn’t play through the car speakers. It only plays through the small speaker that came with the unit. No real regrets, but a mod I could go without.

I ordered the trunk latch camera housing for my ATS as mine didn't already have a backup camera. I'm wondering if my aftermarket camera will fit.

@@aliahmatov I bought a trunk latch adapter from Ebay. It came with a camera already installed in the latch adapter. I installed it where the original trunk latch was located and ran the included wires to the back of my stereo. I don't have the Phoenix Automotive radio but the Seicane Tesla style radio myself. I'm sure the connection is similar. It was labeled on the back of my stereo so finding the appropriate place to connect wasn't an issue. It powers on when I put the car in reverse

A phone yes, or music stored on a USB stick. I've never tried a Fire Stick. Movies do play full screen with black above and below in a 16:9 format.

I am not able to find those specific functions, so I'll say "NO" at the moment. I assume it locks in whatever settings you had when the CUE was removed, because none of the settings changed for me, but I cannot find a menu to make these adjustments.

No, there were no additional connections required for the steering wheel controls to function. All connections are made behind the stereo as shown on my installation video.

Got my unit. It took 2 1/2 months to come. I ordered it from Phoenix automotive. Instead of installing it myself I took it to an installer who has installed these a few times. Sadly to say the unit does not work like it's supposed to! I purchased a new HD rear camera and it does not work. When you put the car in reverse you can see the lines but there's no image just a black screen! The touch screen on the unit itself is off-centered! Even the touch buttons are not accurate. To press a certain button you have to press about an inch to the left. So I just calibrated screen thinking that would solve it. It made it even worse! Now I can't control anything on the screen because if I touch the center of the screen it's activating something else that I can't even see! Completely and utterly disappointed in Phoenix automotive and this product! Would love to chat with you if you could help me troubleshoot it before I send this thing back. Let me know your thoughts I would appreciate any help you might be able to give me!

The two red wires that you connect for the camera in the back, has an extra black wire meant for the black wire of a third brake light or something. What did you do with that wire?

As long as you wire just like I show in the video starting at 8:53. There aren't two red wires and there isn't an extra black wire for a third brake light. There is a red and yellow connector coming from the camera. There is a red and black wire with a yellow connector and a black wire with a black connector coming from the head unit. You can see exactly how to connect them at 9:47 (pause it), then I explain what to do with the read wire moments later.

So XM still works, but via the factory radio box. It does not work via this new interface. You have to use your voice commands. You may be able to install the Sirius XM app and access it that way. I didn't try that.

There are no steps other than plugging in the AUX cable. It's just one single wire from the head unit to the AUX input in the center console. What kind of instruction are you looking for?

You don't program it. You have a defective unit. It's plug n play...you can't mess up installation. Each plug can only go into ONE plug. You can't do it wrong. If you're having issues with hot/cold air, you have a defective unit. THERE IS NO PROGRAMMING.

Yes, these will fit a 2014 CTS. I had to go back to the manufacturer and they sent me the little gray box. I had to wait 2 weeks for it, but once it arrived, the unit worked perfectly. Android Auto and Apple Carplay work as well!

It should be compatible. It still uses your same plugs and harnesses, so I would think it would be the same. Just make sure you order the correct model from Alibaba or Aliexpress.

When I bought my 14 ats one of these was already installed and for the first few days the regular que menus were available, and was the only way I could find to turn the ac off but then the menus disappeared have you had any issue with using the original que menus?

No, I've not had any issues with menus disappearing. Unless there was some sort of update that you were unaware of. All of the screens/menus are able to be reset in the settings menus, by selecting your vehicle.

You can, but the wiring is different (you have to cut/splice) and if you want or need to go back to the CUE setup, you have to undo it all.

If you watch the follow up "review" video I cover this very clearly. Yes, you can screen mirror, but there are black bars on both sides of the screen. You can download and run any app that you can on a tablet running Android 4.4. I don't use or have ATT TV Now, but I watch KZbin and KZbin TV on this device without issue.

@@terryfowler6030 You may have not gotten the correct unit. There are direct controls to your radio from the steering wheel. You should have sound as well as volume controls on the "new screen". AUX was run though the center console directly to the AUX input inside the arm rest.

Yes, steering wheel controls work for me. There is a direct wired connection from the old connector to a new one, directly into this system.

Yes. It will replace both CUE and non CUE systems in the Cadillac.

This is NOT a replacement radio. The BOSE system is still there. Your connections for RCA outs are on the radio unit that is NOT replaced by this simple interface.
