Great review, however I had a doubt... Is it possible to use both outputs simultaneously? I would use the P10 on the amp and the XLR on the mixer 😅
@namgiang31073 жыл бұрын
Yes! That is exactly why I bought this pedal, not because of its processor per se. I use this unit on my pedalboard as a splitter to send my pickup signal to 2 different places!

Greetings Nam Giang, I've got a cheap piezo pick-up on a classical guitar but the high impedance output results in very low volume through an amplifier. Could I use this pedal to connect to my amp's XLR or 1/4inch (6.3mm) jack input and achieve a proper output volume? Thank you for your review edit: would the distortion you experienced at 100% blend be remedied by turning on the 20dB PAD? Or is that only for the XLR out/are your pick-ups not hot enough to introduce clipping at an early stage?
@namgiang31073 жыл бұрын
Hello Kiri, thanks for checking out my video. This is a preamp pedal so, yeah, the first thing it will benefit you is raising your signal up without introducing new noise, not to mention it will somehow "beautify" your tone. I came to the decision of buying this unit from watching a JHS's video on preamps: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYfFlJiHfM2Vmq8 Regarding the distorted sound, I don't think this is a "flaw" but just a gimmick that the pedal designer intentionally tries to achieve since they describe their product as "emulating the sweet sound of a tube amp". Heck, they even have an "electric guitar" setting at 12:15! (which I never use, obviously) Me personally I never feel the need to turn the blend nob all the way up since it already sounds good to me at 50-80% (12 to 3 o'clock).

Nice,can you explain the signal chain on ur pedalboard ?
@namgiang31073 жыл бұрын
Hi Elli, thanks for checking in! I'm actually surprised people actually care about my messy pedalboard LOL one of my friends ask me the same thing the other day too. It's quite...complicated tbh since this is not a conventional series chain but a parallel one. I'm planning to make a video out of it in the future. Stay tune!

Can this Behringer work joined with the iRig microphone in the sound hole of a classical guitar?
@namgiang31073 жыл бұрын
if your pickup is a microphone, I will doubt it. I believe this unit is originally designed for piezo/transducer pickups.
@alessandrogarzelli70393 жыл бұрын
@@namgiang3107 Why not? Watch this video: This is the iRig sound hole microphone joined to a Nux preamp similar to the Behringer kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKnTfZl3Zr-gn9k
@namgiang31073 жыл бұрын
@@alessandrogarzelli7039 Because again this Behringer was designed for piezo pickup. Piezo and microphone are very different in nature, and you run the risk of receiving horrible feedback if you match the ADI21 with a microphone. The NUX preamp in this video is apparently a different design, (and apparently a different price). The biggest advantage I see on the NUX is the NOTCH function that helps you get away with feedback. As you can see, the cheap Behringer doesn't have that fancy thing.

Will it work with electric guitar?
@namgiang31072 жыл бұрын
I don't think it will work well. I believe they design this preamp specifically for acoustic pickups. If you want acoustic sound on an electric guitar, try acoustic simulator
