Unboxing $3,000 of Video Games from Gamestop to Resell on Amazon FBA

In this video I open up $3,000 worth of video games I bought from Gamestop to resell on Amazon FBA, then beg my wallet for forgiveness off camera.
This is part of my Online Arbitrage strategy I use to get inventory for my Amazon business, and I thought it could be helpful for others to see as well. I also decided to answer some FAQ's while I'm doing it, so I hope that is helpful.
I also tried to throw in a bit of info for my Mercari and eBay sellers out there, so hopefully there is something in this for everyone.

@@marangelieroman It costs $39.99 a month to sell on Amazon FBA. Amazon also takes fees when you sell an item so keep that in mind.

GameStop stores will use bags instead of the brown paper for packaging cushioning when stores & corporate are out of that particular brown paper.

GS corporate ran out of Switch box size cover art for awhile in late 2020, so that’s probably why some of those switch games were like that (near the end of video.)

reason for multiple shipments is they just ship the games from their stores - they use in store stock to fulfill online orders

also gamestop does occasionally change games from new to used in their system - so you can get new games paying used prices

@@megami215 The website reads every stores inventory at -1 of the actual inventory. So a store has to have at least 2 copies in stock for the website to recognize that it’s in stock at that location.

Game purchases from the online site are handled by the stores. The reason it’s so many stores is b/c not every store is going to have all the items from 1 order. So it’s going to take several shipments from separate stores to fulfill just 1 of those $600 orders.

I am doing both. I’ve sold a copy of Need for speed heat PS4 with original case on both sites for $28 shipped. I received my switch games without original cases. I sold CTR for $24 shipped on Mercari. This was new for me, I was comping on eBay while putting games in my cart and they were selling out. I missed out on Minecraft. I didn’t really factor in shipping like you talked about.

so gamestop does this. If the game goes on clearance, and still does not sell, it goes to preowned. All preowned games are all the same price no matter which version you get. The Blade Strangers are most likely considered "preowned" and "new" at one time. That is why you got the key chain. I did get a nice stack of games too :D

I wonder how long it took you to test all of those disk based games and if they all worked because I have gotten a few games from gamestop that I had to resurface and if I couldn't fix it I would contact gamestop about a replacement or refund for it!

I source from GameStop pretty often as well and do pretty frequently get a new sealed deluxe addition instead of the pre-owned one I ordered. Kinda nice. Most recently Dusk Diver & Daymare.

Gamestop uses those cases because while it's complete, the original case is damaged. So they replace the case and put everything else inside

Fire Pro Wrestling World is the latest game in the almost 30 year old Fire Pro series. It’s exclusive to PS4 & PC. It has the New Japan Pro Wrestling license, but it’s creation tools let you create literally any active male wrestler regardless of what federation they are a part of.

I’ve bought “new” items on GameStop before that we’re on clearance. Boxed and sealed items arrived with dings on the boxes and/or somewhat crushed - not in “brand new”/mint condition. I did get great deals on them, but if they’re going to advertise as NEW, they better be almost flawless 😑

Great videos. How do you prepare your game disks for FBA. Do you clean/resurface the discs? Do all the game discs you send in look new or close to new? Would be great if you could make a video showing that part of your business. Than k you very much for all the information you dispense :)

Yes, I think they will drop, but not for that long. Maybe a month. Shouldn't need to hold for that long I don't expect.

Yeah it's definitely a mixed bag for me. Some stuff I have to sit on for a while till tankers sell out, but other games have sold out for me already so idk

Why do so many arbitrage resellers do the race to the bottom. You dont have to be the lowest price. Be the second lowest or third. The other guy can take it in the shorts first then yours will sell. On eBay im always high priced and I sell at least 2-3% per day. I dont mind the long tail. Cash has never been a problem. Ive put things out in the garage for 2 years only to get back to it after the post sales dip to find it tripled in value.
