@1:23 my 13 y/o saw the word “instantly” along with a phone number and it almost broke her brain 😂 I love explaining how there was a world without internet not too long ago. PS, what’s weird is I don’t remember games having that sorta hard plastic covering over their boxes. In my memories they’re always just covered in cellophane. I really enjoy this type of video man. Thanks for sharing this moment with us

I'm more curious why a 13 y/o is interested in an SNES unboxing. Is she a Harvest Moon fan? It feels like the internet hasn't been around for long but it's technically been around since like 1991. It just got super popular around 1999/2000 when people could now afford computers. The plastic cover is something you can buy to protect the box. These games are becoming antiques now so we need to protect them. :)

@@GoodVibeCollecting not so much a fan of that game specifically but she enjoys watching videos with me. So I choose a bunch and then she does lol. I explained how we used to have to call in to places and hope that whatever we ordered didn’t take longer than 6-8 weeks to arrive 😂

@@519MaLoNeY Nice. I appreciate the support from both of you. :) Ah yes, the famous "Delivery may take 6-8 weeks". As a kid that felt like an eternity. Now we can get packages the very next day. Pretty amazing.

Such a polarizing game for its time. It received a lot of praise from many well known magazines. It was a later snes title. So when I played it in 1997 I already had moved on to the PlayStation. But I loved how simple it was to pick up and play. Great unboxing!

Oh yeah, it came out extremely late in the systems life but I remember it quickly developed a following due to the popularity of emulators at the time. Thanks for watching and the continued support. :)

I always loved the chill vibes of this game. This really takes me back to opening up brand new SNES games as a kid. I was just as careful then as you are in the video 😆

The Spring theme often gets stuck in my head. I'm not a huge HM fan but people must love them if they are still making them today. Glad to hear you took care of your games as well. If everyone did the same thing, these games would be alot easier to find CIB.
@sir.arthur84793 жыл бұрын
Now that's what i call a CIB game. Not missing anything and all inserts have their right "codes and numbers". The dust cover stopped coming with SNES games around middle to late 1994.
@GoodVibeCollecting3 жыл бұрын
I've seen them as far as February 1995. Shortly after games also switched to being made in Mexico which didn't come with dust covers. I believe the trays switched around October 1995.
@sir.arthur84793 жыл бұрын
@@GoodVibeCollecting cool to know that, anyways not all the games made after 95 were made in Mexico, there were still games being Made in Japan including harvest moon, also, there are variants of DKC 2, 3, Batman Forever, Lufia 2, Secret of evermore, etc of made in Mexico and Japan releases. Regarding the trays it might be true. I have watched a Ninja Gaiden trilogy unboxing (factory sealed) and it still came with the 1st version of the inner tray and that was a game released in middle 95'.
@GoodVibeCollecting3 жыл бұрын
@@sir.arthur8479 Right, there are variants and then in 1997 all games went back to being made in Japan with the exception of some games being made in Puerto Rico.

I just recently got the this in like new condition however had to buy the Nintendo Power ad and registration separately but at least it’s now complete! Thank you for stating the codes on the upper right of the ad I wouldn’t have found it on eBay without the code!

Great unboxing my friend! I'm afraid I don't know anything about Harvest Moon. I had been out of gaming for awhile when this had come out, so it's yet another in a long list of games that had passed me by. Personally I would like to have seen the manual and even some game play. But obviously you're doing this for collection purposes. I never knew about the game trays and the lack of dust covers in the later years of the SNES. Awesome video man!
@GoodVibeCollecting3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, these are just meant to be just simple unboxings otherwise it would feel too similar to my sealed unboxings. The trays changed in 1995 and games no longer came with dust covers around the same time.

Nice one man! Harvest Moon is one I've always wanted to grab despite not really collecting SNES, but like you said, it has always been relatively expensive haha.
@GoodVibeCollecting3 жыл бұрын
Yup, late release = low print run. Low print run = collectors piece. I'm not a big HM fan but I originally got this for a fraction of what it goes for now.

I am not as familiar with Nintendo Power inserts but I'm sure there is a master list out there somewhere. Thank you for the continued support.
