A huge thank you to all who have helped me complete my Super Nintendo Set. A long time coming, with collecting the system for over 23 years. A huge thank you is Neil Zarn who help contribute my final four games to the collection! What are you pursuing or collecting these days? Do you collect for this the Super Nintendo? Comment below!

Congratulations on your collection! I recently bought a 25" Sony console TV, just so I can play the Atari, NES, SNES, N64, Xbox, PS1 and PS2 on classic tube TV. Working on softmodding the Xbox. Again, awesome collection. Being a child of the 80's is an honor.

The same here. I don't consider myself a collector, but I could say I'm a game enthusiast. I collect games from franchises I've enjoyed back in the day and that I still enjoy nowadays. Some of them are The Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, Metroid, Metal Gear Solid and a few more.

John is one of few completionists i personally give a pass to as his ultimate goal is clearly a museum. Otherwise it seems very lamely OCD. Spending thousands on pieces of shit is another great example of how far humans have devolved from the evolutionary chain.

That's the way to do it. Get just the games you enjoy. No need to buy a game just for the sake of having it. That makes your game collection very special and special to you. I bet you have a great collection that matters to you. I sold my consoles and games and replaced them with USB Controllers and a PC. I don't have the luxury of collecting the way you do, let alone completionest collecting. Time, Money and Space are just some of the factors I cannot contend with.

With the SNES some of my favorite games are super expensive so like you said I don't mind getting Repo carts like you mentioned. Good for you, bud! I am happy for you; I can see you're genuinely stoked. Cool stuff. I was collecting Gameboy Advance. SNES was actually my favorite console and then I discovered the GBA a few years ago. It's basically a souped up SNES in your pocket. Prices will drop back down once no one can afford it and they just have a piece of circuit board and plastic laying around and they need money. It will happen with all these games, just wait. They are sort of like stocks, knowing when to sell it is key, having it is not enough. Retro games have hiked in price mainly due to youtubers, before youtube, it was not this expensive. However, once these youtubers drive prices so high that people start to lose interest in retro gaming they will come back down. I know many people who lost interest in retro gaming due to the high prices and moved on to other hobbies. These youtubers are cashing in on the crazy right now but in doing so they are facilitating their demise. It is just a matter of time. Flash carts will see some gain and increase in sales due the high prices for authentic retrogames. Once the current market shifts everyone to flash carts, it will cheapen the authentic retrogames in the near future, and I mean really cheapen it to the point where some of these collectors will have a net loss from selling it. Like I said knowing when to sell it and at what price is key. Also with the advent of near perfect emulators for the 16 /8 bit retrogames, these 16/8bit collectors will see the value of their collection drop dramatically in the coming years as the majority of people are gamers and not collectors. Most people just want to play the game. Only a small minority are true collectors.
