LOL. I’m not quite sure of that just yet, but the armor finally broke. 🤔🤓😂

If you wanted to break down "walk and talk", the "walk" refers to the action from closed to the half stop, and the "talk" is from the half stop to open position. It works both ways, so when closing the knife the "walk" is the action to the half stop, and the "talk" is closing it from there. I love slip joint knives, and my favorite right now is the Serge Slip 7. Look up "Rough Ryder Leather Slip" online, the Hedgehog might fit the 4 inch version.

So, finally a full explanation… that I followed… maybe because I now own one and am admitting I don’t hate them any longer. LOL. Thank you!

I carry a copper dark matter carbon big bro jack every day and it’s a perfect secondary for me that ends up getting more use than my primary mcnees or drift L. Super clean, understated look with the copper being very clean and not overdone. A classic shape with amazing modern materials. The walk and talk on the big bro is insane as well. Hunting down a matching little bro now.

Cool!! I know nothing about those, but I’ve heard people discuss the names. Sounds cool and good luck on the hunt.

I got the jigged titanium Hedgehog when they first dropped. Love it! Super slicey. Congrats on your new gateway to slip joints. I call it a Spanish tip razor.

Hey I'm a 54 year old man been a knife man all my life. Please explain to me what a skiff washer is n why you install them on a brand new knife??? Any info will be greatly appreciated n thank you in advance.

Skiff caged bearings are used in some knives to give them incredible action when opening and closing the knife. Traditional knives have used the PB (Phosphorous Bronze) washers in between the blade and knife scales. They work well many times in many brands like Spyderco, Benchmade, Hogue, etc. Many of these have exclusive designs by knife designers or makers that use caged ceramic ball bearings. Since 98% of knife owners use their knives to open Amazon boxes, gifts, dog/cat food, mulch, etc. in relatively dry or dust free environments, caged bearings have become very popular. In those knives, the OEM caged bearings are okay but they do not have the same tolerances as custom knife makers. Skiff Made Blades started to make his own caged bearings that were made with incredible tolerances. Soon he made some for others and his son, also Steve Skiff, had a 2nd business that expanded where even some other custom knife makers may use. These Skiff washers are full PB washers that are milled out with a radial curvature where the ceramic balls fit into. OEM caged washers are merely crimped over the ceramic balls with a lot of free space inside. Skiff are solid washers milled out so there is no extra space. That helps retain a lot of tolerances and even addresses typical issues pivot lash issues.

You and me both, but then amazing subscribers and my knife channels pass around groups have allowed me to check some out. It broke my armor against them. I’m not going full blown collecting but I see 1 or 2 in collection as reasonable like I do for my autos. 👊👍
