What an interesting assortment of Bibles. I appreciate how the publishers are making such an effort to offer a variety of styles and types of Bibles to meet the needs and capture the interest of those who might otherwise shy away from the Bible.

I do like the NLT, both for people who are new to the Bible, but also when people are under stress and need God, but didn't have the emotional or intellectual energy to parse more florid language at the moment. It's witty, pithy, and straight to the heart.

Thanks for this Tim. It was really fun and enjoyable. I've grown to really like the NLT, and have just picked up a copy of that large print premium value bible that you have there with the small cross on the front. I really like it. Opacity could be better but at this price point you get what you pay for. I wish it would have had the ink on the edges of the pages though like those other ones as that looks great. I would have been happy to pay extra for that

Now that I’m in my mid-sixties, I’m all about those giant print Bibles! I recently got a giant-print NIV to use for BSF. A giant-print NLT would be nice for “non-study” reading. Easy on senior eyes.

I love the fact that they are finally making “real” Bibles for Kids. I still have the Living Bible I got when I finished Communicants’ Class. I was 12 and still loved that Bible.

I have the Chronological One Year NLT paperback. I got to mid February! I'm too much of a rabbit chaser so it's hard for me to just read the Bible without underlining and circling and highlighting and writing margin notes. When I realized that I wasn't going to complete the year as intended, I put it aside until next year. Then in January, I can pick it up and be ahead!

I glad that Tyndale publishes giant print. I'm 41 but the large print is too small for me and super giant is too big. Giant print is just right (now Crossway please do the same!).

They also have single column personal size which I love, and a compact 2 column the size of an original Schuyler PSQ. I agree; they are great Bibles to give away - especially with the "Filament Enabled" app that turns them into multi-media study Bibles!

Love the NLT. This translation got me reading the Bible again after a multi year break. Started reading from a large print compact in a B&N and couldn’t put it down. That NLT compact and a NLT Chronological Study Bible combo helped me love the Word again after some major life setbacks. Gave the compact away to a friend after her husband died but the Chronological was in a box that disappeared in a move along with approximately a dozen others.

Wow, amazing! As an aside, Tim do you have any scoop on new bibles coming out? Specifically, I'm wondering if there's rumours of any publisher offering the new updated edition of the NRSV in single column paragraph format? Zondervan is the only publisher I can find who does such a thing, but there's no updated version as of yet. Do you have any knowledge of plans from anyone to issue the new one in this format? Hey Tim I know I'm kinda late on the entry but I could really use a smaller yet legible Bible for my sling. I've tried fitting my NLT Thinline into it before I go out to evangilize in my neighborhood but whenever I take it out, some of the corners get bent, both cover and page. I'd also rather use That than the NKJV because though it's small enough to fit properly, when I tried to read some scripture I could barely get through it. That's why I would much rather have that ESV Badalassi Carlo so I can actually read it for myself when I'm alone. Please help🙏

The 3 column concordance ends at page 1649 Each page has 53 to 56 lines I’m holding the Bible in my hands right now I got it from my stepson as a gift for Father’s Day 2024
