Thank you so much for sharing this process. I do not have any import plants. It was so nice to see the full process. You plant babies are so beautiful! I could see the major change in them just from the time they spent in water. The end products were amazing! Your cat is beautiful as well!

You're welcome Rachael and thank you for watching. Symone is definitely my ❤️. She was the leftover from her litter so I gravitated to her immediately as an underdog or cat in this situation. You should definitely try importing. It opens up your options so much for not a lot of money comparatively. Hope that you are having a great weekend.

20:58-21:25: Agreed! Another vlogger I watch recommends buying seedlings to allow them to acclimate to our homes. I unknowingly did this in January 2023 with my first plant. I bought it from Trader Joe’s and I’m still uncertain what it is. Maybe a Monstera deliciosa. And a few weeks ago, I bought a Goeppertia Orbifolia from Trader Joe’s that has 3 leaves. I’m hopeful I can get it to grow without much browning.

Loving the channel. I'm an Anthurium, Philo, and Hoya gal myself. Recommendations for getting into Hoya from my 20+ years experience I would go for Krimson Queen and Princess as they are forgiving and have some great variegation. Hoya Bouttii is a thin leaf variety that is thirsty for a Hoya but extremely prolific grower- you'll have to cut back many times a year. For ease of flowering Shooting Star is excellent and thirsty as well. Lacunosa bloom quickly and are wonderful cinnamon fragrance, Bella also blooms in succession and can be counted on. Hoya Mathilde blooms and grows, so does Sunrise and if you don't mind a bit of expense the New Guinea Ghost is stunning and grows so fast. Absolutely worth the $ for ease of care and being a stunner that sun stress into a gorgeous pink to purple against the mint sliver leaves. Looking forward to keeping up with your channel. Great job!!!

Hi Arryn. Thanks for watching and thanks for the recommendations. Someone else mentioned the krimson so I will definitely be looking at that as well as some of your other recommendations. Hope that your week is off to a great start and that it has a great end. Btw. love the spelling of your name. Really cool.

@@theplantedeye Thanks goes to my brilliant Mom for the Celtic spelling. I'm drooling over your blushing squamicuale (sp?) it's been on my lust list for 2 years now. Week off to great start, get to pollinate my Luxurians x Radicans with itself tomorrow and hope it takes! It's been a prop n chop day. Took most of my virgin Mother philo's (Dark Lord, Squami, Florida Green, Painted Lady, Black Majesty, down to manageable sizes which means they need to be 5ft like me. I'm not sure if I just was an idiot or genius but I took my sectoral Monstera Albo and have her 3 chops too. Had some fun then notching my massive FLF Freddie Mercury and attaching ribbon to shape him like a Bonsai. Figure when you've been planting this long sometimes you just get an itch to do something different.
@theplantedeye
@theplantedeye Жыл бұрын
Wow you are off to a great start. Anytime you can multiply you albo is genious in my book. The Squamicaule blushing is one of my favorites. I love it's fuzzy petioles. I've lost some leaves which is to be expected but hoping to get the bud I have to stay vital and sprout in my care/environment. I was always under the impression that they rad lux was a sterile hybrid. It being able to be pollinated is awesome because I have two juveniles that I would love to cross and see what happens. Please keep me posted on how that goes!

Ohh still watching, but the Lutheri af that’s why I was like, doesn’t look like Lutheri to me. Lol Look at your Fredristali (spelling) mine came with spider mites.Oh Lord, going down the Hoya hole is deep an wide. 😂 it’s an addiction all on its own.

Lol...glad I'm not alone. The only thing I could think of is that they are strappy leaves from the same region but that's about it. Good tip on the Freidrichsthali. That's one of the reasons that i do the bath and then spray it down with Neem Oil and Captain Jack's. Getting an outbreak is not worth it. Thanks for watching.

@theplantedeye

Thanks. There are so many, lol. I think a good starter would be the Clarinarvium followed by the Crystalinum, Forgetii, or Magnificum. Fairly easy and forgiving in terms of care. I appreciate you watching.
