The music... is it Techmoan's "signature tune"? I have a 64MB FX5500 PCI (Quadro NVS 280) waiting to go in my retro P133 - as soon as my 512k cache arrives via China cheap shipping.... Hmm, maybe I should pop the heatsink and repaste it... it actually has a "hot surface" warning label pointing to the heatsink, surely they don't get THAT hot?

The 128bit version is useful for retro gaming and the 64bit is one of the best GPU to test motherboard from AGPx1 to x8!

G'day RMD, I love these videos where these lost PC parts are uncovered, I'm sure there are people that will think opening them is Sacraledge but that would only be for Special parts not a MEH!, I like to check where these GPUs are on the TechPowerUp DataBase but this one although it does have a DataPage isn't on the List, It is interesting the difference between the Paste on this still being soft, compared to a Used one that has gone all Dry & Hard from the repeated Heat Cycles.

have this gpu in my amd athlon 2500+ and with 1gb ram and even in taht PC its a pretty much NIGHTMARE :), had to replace it with a gf 6800 ultra and it was fine like for a year, then the card well destroyed itself, broke of the cooler and something was weird about it as it handled games, imean games where it didnt overheat, it was like the game was lagging or something, i think frametimes suffered or latency whatever, it was bad. So i did get rid of it, maybe it couldve been saved but, anyway now fx5200 but only 128mb ram, back in the case and when i ran the same games as with ultra, some where a slideshow to behold :). Others worked on 640x480 res. barely, and some ran fine, but only few. So in the basement it still stleeps, but i think ill get it up here, yep. maybe make an emu station from it, for old games, if possible at least to the likes of PS1 games, and older, PSP PS2 Gamecube i hardly doubt that, maybe dreamcast n64 might be possible, will see, anyway, when ill have time ill get to it and do it.
