Hi Kame, What are your thoughts on the shifter from Heusinkveld?
@KameTrick Жыл бұрын
I haven’t had a chance to drive it, but I’d be curious to. All my dedicated shifter experiences have been on the Fanatec Club Sport H pattern / sequential offering, which has been pretty solid. My only “complaint” if I could even call it that, is that for arcade games like Initial D where you do some real machine gun up shifts, it’s a little slow to register 2 clicks at max speed. For sim driving I haven’t encountered an issue with it shifting too slowly, there’s always more than enough time 👍🏻
@afternoonview Жыл бұрын
@@KameTrick thanks legend, i did some research on a shifter because I swapped my G29 set for a t300rs gt (thanks to you, and first of all thank you for these tips because it's a day and night difference in drift handling between the two wheels, later on I will go for a moza or fanatec) so now I needed a shifter, but as I only use it for drift (when racing I use the pedals on the wheel) i decided to go for a full sequential. I have read a lot of reviews and price/quality it went between the Heusinkveld and the aiologs. (Didn't want to find myself with the noisy but still qualitative AliExpress shifter) Clearly i preferred the aiologs but i read a lot of extra custom costs that came with it since it's been shipped from Russia, and as a European I made the choice to order the Heusinkveld yesterday straight from their headquarters in Holland. I must say their pack is very complete with the three extra handles included plus mounting pads. Normally Thursday it will arrive, I'll let you know when I tried it out. Thanks for the response 👍
@afternoonview Жыл бұрын
@@KameTrick so I received the shifter, excellent quality I must say. Works perfectly, delivered with 3 extra handles, the only negative point is that when slowly moving the handle it gives a squeaky sound, which could be from running dry or installed too tight from the factory. One thing that is quite impressive with them is their client service. So I contacted them to give me some options of what to do against the squeaking sound. For the rest i can only say it's pro gear for the price they sell it. I also would go for the thrustmaster shifter which can be converted to sequential, but it totally doesn't give that feeling. So I think I made a good choice, hopefully I can fine tune it and or lubricate it that it runs a bit smoother. Anyway I don't have this issue when fast shifting then everything runs smoothly, maybe it's just a ''breaking in'' issue.
@Zukes4542 жыл бұрын
have you tried their pedals? apparently they're meant to be best on the market, even better than fanatec v3
@KameTrick2 жыл бұрын
I’ve never had the opportunity to try their pedals, but from looking into it, I have no doubt that the Heusinkveld sprints are an improvement, and the ultimates would be even moreso…though a lot like their handbrake, whether you think they are worth the cost is an individual decision with a lot of variables.

Sometimes CM is bad about losing key bindings, but once you get it set it tends to keep working. First, always make sure you fully power on your wheel and pedals before opening CM. If you open CM before the wheel startup sequence finishes you’ll usually have a lot more issues. Second, try closing CM, opening CM, rebinding your keys and starting a race. Give this 2 or 3 tries. Sometimes it will work with just this. If all else fails, close CM, open AC using the default Steam launcher, bind all your keys in it. Close it. Open CM, bind all your keys in it, launch a driving session. Usually this fixes it, or some combination of the above and as much patience as needed, good luck! Also this may have some helpful info kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGrGkGl7hr-td7c

Moral of the story don't buy Fanatec stuff if you can avoid it.
@KameTrick2 жыл бұрын
Their V3 pedals are pretty great for the price, the handbrake is surprisingly poor compared to their other stuff, and their wheelbases are great, too. Though the pin interface can be a weak point eventually 5+ years or if you have kids or ppl who are rough on it. I still think Fanatec gear is loads better than all Logi and Thrustmaster offerings. Spending $600-700+ on each peripheral can get you better stuff but many can’t afford that 🤷🏻♂️
