Excelent video. It would be great to post a video showing if the setup hold up or not after many months running. I'm telling you this because I'm not sure if these Orange Pi's as are sturdy as the Raspis, at least that is my impression but maybe I'm wrong.

My Orange Pi 3 LTS has been up 24hrs/7days for months (apart from power outages) as both NAS and Pi-hole. I’ve never had an issue with these SBCs, but I understand the hesitation. More of an issue than hardware wobbles is lack OS support and community support, compared to such a rich vein in the RaspiPi world. I would be hesitant to use the Orange Pi suppliers OS images. 😬

How GPIO situation with this config? Will I2C work?

Usually they are fully compatible with RPi - there are the same number of GPIOs in the same config - and although I2C is available, I haven't tried it! I use mine for higher duties such as NAS and PiHole. 👍😀

Ah, you divorced yourself from the Rockchip custom distros. Good deal with armbian. I did not have the guts to try this for my rockchip cm3 (cm4) module.
