Nice video! To my mind the pen type meter is ideal for testing away from the bench, where you may not have a good place to rest a traditional meter. With this you can hold the entire setup in two hands.

Yes, it definitely has its place. And for some reason this type of meter is one of the cheapest as well.

lol. It didn't think it was great. Any idea why it would happen? I was wondering if a smoothing capacitor might help?
