Unboxing and first impressions - Ortega RU5CE-BA Baritone Ukulele

This is an unboxing of the Orgeta RU5CE-BA Baritone Ukulele. The Baritone ukulele is tuned similar to the highest pitched strings of the guitar, so makes a good option for guitar players wanting to get into the Ukulele. The baritone is also bigger and deeper sounding than the regular concert/soprano ukulele.

It’s normal! All ukuleles that have marks on the neck have them on 5, 7, 10 and 12! :)

Thanks Erica! It did start to make sense once I'd sat down with the instrument for a few sessions. Given that the lowest string is D, it makes sense to mark the high D (at least that's the logic that works for me). 😀

@@abominablemusic Don't ask me why, but the Gypsy Jazz Guitars - Selmer - Macaferri etc. also have the dot on the 10th fret.

You shouldn’t have a problem with the soprano chords. The intervals are the same as for the guitar/ baritone just a fourth up - like a capo at the fifth
