Yes. pretty simple to use but I would say that it is not a vacuum in comparison. On Driveways you still have to pick up small debris and stick because the sweeper couldn't pick it up. On the other hand it picks up really well on lawn.

A back pack blower would probably be much quicker

Yes, in some instances it is definitely faster. But when the leaves start to pile up it becomes labor intensive. Especially if you're property is on a steep hill.
