Everyone else is getting around 1:30 minutes boil time with 500ml of water with this stove. Personally I would'nt run it full bore so I'd be fine with slower times hoping it would be more efficient on fuel. I'm also interested in if it can simmer well. I appreciate you exploring the tightness of the components. These stoves are a little janky. Like you, I like a stove that's low. I've tried 3 burner stoves that have similar builds but they are kinda all or nothing rockets that consume a huge amount of fuel. How's the simmer, how do you like this stove now you've had it a while? Cheers.

Hi, thanks for the comment. Since that video, I've had the chance to use the stove on several occasions. I'm now convinced that the gas canister I used was pretty low on fuel, and you can look at that in two ways. 1 was it a fair test? And 2 was it "real life"? Either way it is what it is, however I have another video on the channel where I was wild camping and I barely had the coffee in the cup before the water was boiled. And yes it was 'full bore' but there is also a fair amount of control, I have managed to cook sausages all the way through... and survived. 😆

It is more efficient if you do NOT run a gas stove wide open. If the stove is starving for air...the flame becomes orange which is wasted fuel. Sadly, many if not most KZbin creators do not seem to experiment with flame control at all. They just turn the valve fully open and record boil times. Oh well...
