I really appreciate this, I was thinking about this. I'm glad your so open and truthful about the products giving the positives and negatives. I have seen for myself Grizzly has been making too much cheap cut backs in quality. they need to offer people at least add on up grades to their saws. The cheap fence and handles are real failures on their part. Come on Grizzly your loosing your name brand reputation of some sorts of quality. You need to increase the distance between the motor pulley and the blade wheel. Apparently the drive band is too loose from the factory which causes it to bog down. Also, I heard the blade is shitty and too thin for re-sawing which is why you’re getting so much drift.

Yeah I looked through the manual and found a couple things to adjust. Also bought a better blade for re-sawing. We'll see what that does and I'll post a follow up video.

The WEN is .3hp , not 1.3 . It's a 9" not a 18"

I have the same issue with the same bandsaw model. What replacement blade did you get? Did it make any difference? Thanks in advance…

It did help but increasing the tension on the drive belt made the most difference. Watch my follow video and it will show you what to do. Also has link to the blades I bought. Thanks for watching!

I'm wondering, did you change the pulley speed for more torque or did you leave it at the setting it was at straight out of the box? also, your tension might be too loose if the blade is veering that much. But yes, a wider blade would help too.

The Wen has a one third HP motor. For whatever reason the "1/3" comes out as "1.3" on a lot of websites and other places. It was really confusing to me when I was trying to compare saws.

That would definitely make more sense. I know some manufacturers use different metrics to inflate their specs. I’m assumed that was the case. Thanks for clearing that up.
