Great video!!! It was very helpful reassembling my press. I moved from California to Central Texas, waited 8 months for the new house to get built. I enclosed the third car garage and made into my gunsmithing/reloading shop. Worked out sweet!! Got my press in late 2009 and have put thousands through it. Always works great - very happy. One suggestion. You did not talk about the Primer Tracking Bearing (p/n 14015) when installing the Primer Slide. I saw that it was there, and since yours is a new one, I assumed that did not feel the need to talk about it. The point that I want to make is that when installing/changing large/small primer sizes, I always put a VERY light coat of white lithium grease on bottom of the Primer Slide and inside the bottom/sides wear points of the Primer Housing and Shield (p/n 20263). This REALLY helps for a smooth operation of the entire machine and supports longer life by reducing the contact/wear points. I do this pretty much I every time when changing primer sizes. I found this helpful and so have many of my reloading friends. Just an input for others who are starting out. Really enjoyed your video - well done son!! Semper Fi.

That is a great video for those of us thinking about getting one of these fine presses. I have a Forester Co-Ax single stage press right now, and it is perfect for rifle. The best single stage press on the market. But I have been thinking about getting one of these for pistol calibers. Thank you so much brother.

The operating arm washer goes on top according to the manual. I did it that way myself but i could not get the nylock nut to thread enough for the nylon lock in the nut to engage the threads as the washer was taking up ths space. So I refered to the diagram in the manual. Just fyi, I am sure it is fine the way it is.

Is your press portable? I am wondering if the single C clamp holds it to the table when you are reloading with it and then you undo the clamp and can lift the press off the main table and store it elsewhere. I would appreciate if you could let me know. It would be cool to set mine up so it is portable as my space is limited. Just unsure if the clamp enables the press to be used then removed later. Great video!
@funbro13 жыл бұрын
It is semi portable, One C-clamp works but 2 is a little more stable. I also am limited on space and wanted to be able to remove my press so I mounted it to a board and it has worked great that way ever since then. Thanks for checking in.

@@funbro1 Great video. What size were the 4 bolts you used such that they did not stick out underneath. I am guessing you used two different sized due to the metal on the front vs. back of the dillon?

What size screws did you use? how long are they?
@funbro18 жыл бұрын
+Kristina Larsen It would depend on what size board you mount your press to. I believe I used #10 by 1-1/2".
@kristinalarsen58248 жыл бұрын
Mine is alittle bit thicker then that 3/8 by 12 inches long, what size tee nuts and bolt's would you recommend?
@funbro18 жыл бұрын
+Kristina Larsen If you are going to use the T-nuts as shown in the video I would use 1/4-20. For the lengths use 1" for the back two screws and 1-1/2" for the front two screws. If the screws are too long the shorten them by putting one or more flat washers on the top. Hope this helps, Thanks for watching.

Dillon should include a copy of this video with each press. Their manual really isn't that great. I've setup a few now, but the first time was a bear.
