I have the Altec Lansing Expedition 8”. Got it for $200 at Sams. It’s a beast! I also have a computer surround sound with mini subwoofer that gos really low and sounds awesome. It’s like 20 years old though. Big Altec fan.

Surprisingly a lot of people are not aware of this brand. I knew from years back, saw lots of computers using Altec and sound was superb. I've owned an Altec 2.1 computer system for 17 years and still going strong. The design was engenius. Sound is unbelievable from such a package. I would not Hesitate to purchase Altec Brand. I'm on the verge of purchasing this one.

Speaker is a beast! Even tho it's only 50 watts it's great for parties but I recommend to have it under a canopy or inside a garage if you are out on the open it sounds good still but you need to have an echo unless you have more then one 🙂

Hello.. I’m looking to buy a Bluetooth boombox but after hearing a bunch of different brand, it left me perplexed and confused and can’t tell which is best. I like a loud stereo sound, a little bass but not over the top. I was going to purchase the JBL boombox 2 (but pricey), then decided to look around a bit more and that’s when I got confused.

Let me know if does not get water in the charge port because it looks two of the pieces of the charge port are broke on the specker. I have to send my second one in again because the part that is supposed to keep water out there are two pieces that are missing.

Im reticent to admit it, its not that bad. the best thing about it and frankly the only reason I bought, surprisingly no one else has mentioned... THE THINGS LIGHT AS A FEATHER!!!! Makes my clip 4's look like the internal speakers on my old windows 11 PC tower. for $99 pool speaker, it aint bad at all!!. Oh yeah, btw.... BJ's wholesale club currently selling it for $99. IMO, the power is regretfully lacking, but adequate. While the high end is somewhat underwhelming, especially in the presence of superior quality speakers. Bass crackles at full volume more often than not, but will sound,, clean and balanced enough at 80% or less. Verdict: think if it like this... While it relatively easy to feel like Jason Bourne pushing your Saab Sedan to the limit around town, fact is it'll never be or handle like a McLaren. Which, btw, is fine, because.... you're not Jason Bourne.(prob) And does Jason Bourne really need.. or even want a Mclaren?! No....of course not!!! So impractical, for so many reasons. So.. yeah. All around good decent tougher than most all purpose 'superlight in its class' decent sounding portable Jack of a Few Spades. 'oh yeah 'im done

Altec Lansing has been around way longer than Bose. They built very high end speakers until they recently got bought out.

Verdaderamente está bocina es muy cara para su precio cuando uno por menos de 179 dólar paga incluso en Walmart asta 150 dólares asta 100 dollars y sienna mejor que esa bocina altec es un fracasó. Aunque la verdad con una aplicación para darle potencia suenan los graves y agudos perfecto pero de su forma original es un sonido muy pero muy desagradable. Y no la recomiendo. Por su calidad de sonido. Es una marca chipe. 🤔
