Unboxing and testing the XCMAN Cross Country Ski wax bench

If you are going to wax your cross country skis yourself you will need a wax bench of some sort. I used to use a home made wax bench but it really didn't hold my skis well and for skis that were wider than normal were impossible to wax with my home made bench. So I am very excited to test out this XCMAN wax bench. So far it was worked very well - there are very few moving parts and you can put it together in a couple of minutes out of the box. I used one of these benches last week when I was on a xc ski trip with a friend who had one. Far lighter than our old & heavy Swix one (Swix came out with a lighter one after we bought ours). The Xcman bench worked really well, as well as the heavier bench, though the heavier bench can take a ski form or clamps on each side, so 2 people can wax at the same time. After using the Xcman bench though, I think I’d prefer 2 of these lightweight benches if we needed to wax several pairs of skis, rather than the one heavier one.

You are right ..with this bench you can only do one ski at at time ....they do have a double bench as well although I have not tested it so can't comment on it.
