Gravity ftw. The nako seems to be a niche reel where as the gravity is super versatile.

That would be fun to compare, but they should be similar. Ark designed the reel and they have partners with Haibo, who is responsible for the manufacturing. To sell more units, Ark sells the reel here where as Haibo sells it in Asia as the respective names have greater local presence! So I think I will pass on the comparison. Thanks tho, winter will set in soon! We all should focus on fishing lol

Hi Jimmy, the spool cup with the Roman numerals. Which of the 3 settings would be best for all around casting for lures 1/8oz to 3/8oz? I'm on the fence to getting The Gravity BFS, but just a bit confused on the spool cup. Thanks!

2 should do everything u need. But know that I haven't tried fishing this reel with heaby lures yet.

Check out my brake exploring video as well as my cast testing. That should give you a general idea for how to configure your reel. Don't max out your spool either cuz 6ln mono is heavy.

I commissioned someone to draw it for me. I have given it to BFE and he printed a few out and gave me a few. He may sell em on his website, but for those who buy stuff ad BFE may already have gotten one or two!

I have used nako reel a bit, this feels much better in hand and much more versatile. The brakes on the flight Feather were made specifically for some UL stuff. The brakes here are good for everything since it's so highly customizable! I see myself and most ppl using brake 2 and between 25 to 50 percent of the outer dial.

not sure why you are laughing... But do know that anyone can write anything on paper. Whether it is truthful or just a marketing sham... we shall see, but here's my thoughts of the Comorant based on my experience with the King Fisher: I got the predecessor, the King Fisher and I was not able to cast below 1 gram accurately out of the box. So I don't think they should even put 0.6 grams as the minimum range. And for it to go 18g? That's two strikes as first and foremost.. BFS isn't about throwing 18 g lures! You will likely spool yourself doing so or snap thin lines! For an UL Niche reel, no way it the braking can handle that vast range of weight.. I don't think there are any reels out there that could do it effectively... Maybe the Haibo/Ark since they can adjust the brakes more than any other reels currently on the market EASILY! And magnesium frame? So what about it? you wanna pay more for that go for it. BFS reels don't really need that. Graphite is all you really need, so I think the better bang for the buck is the Ark/Haibo over the flight feather/cormorant for how well refined. At that price, you might as well go with JDM while currency conversion is down. Japan reels have way better tolerance and higher quality build than these two fish eating birds! Lastly, I don't know where to even get this reel. the only place I know that carry it is Shady Dan Kung! I wouldn't order anything from Dan Kung website either. Doesn't look safe at all and they hire people to hype up their products on social media while putting down other brands. They trash talk about other products that I have used on my Channel and my other social media posting if it wasn't something they have sold at their store! Like Tsurinoya!!!! They USED to not sell tsurinoya.. and they constantly say Tsurinoya is a "second rate" brand.... but they also carry it because they have found out that everyone loves the Quality and Price of Tsurinoya products that they have to offer to the market! CDM reels needs to focus on making quality and innovative reels rather than slapping expensive Magnesium Alloy to make it "sound" more luxurious. Ark/Haibo BFS Reels are priced right! It got an amazing braking system, popular 28mm size spool making it a nice all rounder reel and also specifically fits the market demand for more UL reels! My skill level: 9999999 See? 😂

No clones! They are collaboration. Ark supply the idea design while Haibo makes them FOR both companies. Ark sells in the US since they have name recognition in the market while Haibo for Asia. You can buy either and Ark will make money. This came from the president of Ark himself!

I like more option. What I dont like is US companies building oversees. Only greed drives that decision. US rod companies are returning to US made, hipefully reel companies do the same

It's going to be hard to do so due to the economic circumstances... But do know that if American companies are using resources outside the country, products sold here are have taxation properly excised! It's better than just buying things from folks who straight up from Aliexpress or temu.
