First impression on the BFR in .50AE is pretty good, it's my first magnum research and i'm pretty excited about it.

I bought this exact same gun, in 2010. It was my first of three BFRs. The 50AE is a great cartridge, and I handload bullets up to 385 grains. The MSRP was $1050, and I paid $804 for it. I have fired it 553 rounds with absolutely no issues. Top quality materials, construction, assembly, precise timing, B/C gap .002", and very accurate. It is a Ruger SBH on steroids, and well worth the modest price. My other two BFRs are 44 Magnum and 454 Casull. I will probably acquire two more. Magnum Research is a very impressive outfit. I also have one of their Desert Eagles in 50AE.

Nice!! I wanted the 454 myself, but with the handgun crisis and than ban, I had to setttle with the .50AE, but it’s still a fun handgun.

Look's like Gary Reeder Lucifer's Hammer. .50AE has a lot of Foot Lbs. of Knock Down Power.

That thing is built like a Bank Vault. Talk about Heavy Duty Big Bore Wheel Gun.

It really, would love that have it in more calibers!

Bullet jump is a problem. Since 50 AE is a pistol cartridge and head spaces on the case mouth, the bullets can’t be heavily crimped.
