Unboxing BOS Show Sept2022

Even though I had no intention of buying any orchids I still came home with some. One I knew about as I ordered it the others were the treasures I found that I could not leave behind.

We can't stop buying orchids, do we. I'll be at Akerne's the end of the week, to pick up some for me and someone else. So there might be that unboxing too. Then I got an order in from Currlin in Germany + a plant swap that will be released on October 15th. We seem to buy much of the same lately. From Currlin, I got a Epi. porpax "cutting" for € 4. Well when you see it, it's bigger than the bad piece you've got + some other goodies. The hybrid Den. is actually called 'Swiss Mountain Palace' and comes in a variety of colors; from almost white to full pink and pale yellow-orange to deep yellow-orange. Seedlings of mixed colors are always put together. Nice plant BTW. The Hibiki seems to e a real British favorite but not the easiest to grow well. I like the flowers but the plant not that much. Bought it twice and lost it too. I think the problem lies in it's parentage (bracteosum x laevifolium). Good luck with your small puchase!

Hi Lynn, I'm very jealous because I can't seem to get hold of things I want 😒. There's no society near West Wales and the 2 main sellers in the UK seem to have run out of lots of things 🙄.oh well one day my ship will come in 😄. Good luck with your haul 😘🤗

There are a lot of things that are unavailable currently. What are you after particularly? Are we talking plants or sundries?

@@lynnsmith9397 I couldn't get any decent large bark for ages and wasted quite a lot of money trying to get decent quality. I used to get Orchiata from Orchid Accessories but as he can't get it now I tried about 4 or 5 places on Amazon and Ebay and even pet shops but it was rubbish. After you said about Peter's Portuguese stuff I tried that and it is ok thank you, but the 2 main suppliers of new orchids in the UK seem be either out of stock or the website doesn't show everything and it's too far to travel 🙄. We can't get anything different these days and and there are no societies near me to get plants from auctions 😪. I bet you wish you hadn't asked now 😄. I'm enjoying what I've got but my husband thinks us orchid enthusiasts are all bonkers anyway, he's probably right 😁
