Julian, Regarding the mount you removed; when using zip ties, use them like you mean it. Never ever cut the tails with any sort of scissors, snips or shears which all leave sharp, bitey points behind. Instead, always cut the tails flush with a blade; box cutter, pocket knife, single edge razor blade, hacksaw, saber saw, oscillating tool, you get the idea. If there's still a sharp nub, cut it again or dress it down with an abrasive, a file or sandpaper. Give thought to the ties' orientation too. Position the latch heads where they're least obtrusive and least aesthetically displeasing.
