Unboxing, building and review of Lego set 6278: Enchanted Island from 1994!

Today a video about Lego set 6278: Enchanted Island from 1994!
I have a complete set with box, manual and all parts.
It has some really cool parts and minifigs, and I'll show you all of them, and of course I'm going to build the set.
I show you al the play features: the falling bridge, treasure and palmtrees.

IMPORTANT INFO: The female figure does not have the correct facial expression and the pirate with the blue hat, is also not completely original. This one must have a stubble instead of a full beard. The person I bought it from didn't tell me that. I only noticed those little details after making the video!

The cloth sails can be washed. In fact, I wash old lego parts in my washing machine and have never had a problem.

Thanks for the valuable tip! 1 sail also had a torn hole, so it had to be replaced, so I suddenly bought both parts from the same person so that it would be one whole from the same owner.

@@henrysvintagetoys From what I've seen of the washing machine trick. Put them in a tough garment bag as it makes it easier to retrieve the pieces. It's also probably wise to put it on the cold setting or at least the warm setting as the hot setting could warp or melt the pieces.

I have some old Islander sets and minifigures. I don't have a female Islander minifigure though.

That is correct because the female minifig only appears in this set and in the re-release 6292-1 of this set in 2001. So quite unique! On Bricklink they ask around 20 euros for this unique minifig.

​@@henrysvintagetoys Islander female minifig also appears in set 6256 Islander Catamaran. Its not exclusive to Enchanted Island set.

@@DUNDOM5 You're right. But in 6278: Enchanted Island she has an arrow holder on her back, which is why Bricklink describes it as unique. So it's better to say that she is unique in enchanted island in that combination. Good thing you noticed! Valuable information, thank you. Greetz Henry

Great set. You restored the sails, but why didn't you restore the heads of the woman and the red pirate? they don't have their own heads

I also think it is a beautiful set, especially as a display piece. I only have 1 set from this subtheme Islanders out of 6, and it's already the largest 😁

Yes, unfortunately. But I was able to buy the set a little cheaper because of that. I have to make choices because I collect a lot and also have to keep an eye on my budget.
