Haven't used wool in a while, finally a hook and loop cover! Can't wait to check them out.

Yes, hook and loop is one of the closure options for wool covers! They aren't all pull-on style these days. 💜 Heidi

I'm also moving away from synthetics. Since my son's covers started to leak through from delamination, I have replaced them with wool and it's nice to know he's more comfortable that way. When he eats or plays outside, I do worry the covers will stain, felt, and have particles stuck on them. I put a cloth napkin over his covers and choose the older, felted pull-overs. Today was his first time getting poop on the Baber Greens classic wool cover. I took action quickly to clean him up and tackle the mess. I used my diaper sprayer to remove the solids, then started a small bath using warm water with unscented castile soap. I treated the stains with Buncha Farmers stain stick remover. It's currently soaking. I have to get past the whole it's-new-don't-ruin-it stage. But it's hard when wool is at least $30 a piece and I want them to be in good condition for my next child. Thanks for continuing to post these fantastic unboxing and reviews. You're my go-to wool expert.

Did the wool cover come clean? Some days I'm like, "caring for wool is no big deal". And some days I'm like, "I aint got time for scrubbing poop out of a wool liner! I'll just throw it in the washer.... ooops, it went through the dryer too and shrunk." Acting quickly does tend to help avoid stains. 💜 Heidi

@@ECpeesy the classic cover looks brand new after the steps described above. There have been times I've let other covers sit (up cycled ones), and it takes three soaks to get them looking decent. I have the same sentiments about wool. Sure, they're low maintenance when it's only urine, but let something else get on them, and it's tedious. I've had to pick at avocado and banana pieces before they dry up. I kept my newest pul covers as back up.

BTW You inspired me to do EC for my next baby from birth. I started with my first at 15 months and it didn't last long for us. He's 21 months old now. I want to potty train him ASAP. Unfortunately, life circumstances have been delaying that date. Once I'm through this hurtle, I'll set him up.

@@stephanieblanco7055 Glad it came clean. Getting the poop off right away really helps. My baby wears just cloth training pants for meals at home. That way he doesn't get clothes or wool dirty. I guess I will have to start dressing him in outfits once he eats at restaurants. ECing with a newborn can be much easier than with a toddler, newborns just go with the flow. 💜 Heidi

@@ECpeesy thanks for the idea. I can definitely try that.

What do you think of the Abrazo vs. Puppi vs. Babee Greens for newborns?
@ECpeesy2 жыл бұрын
Babeegreens classic side snapping wool cover is my overall favorite for newborns. I really like the Bumby Abrazo for nighttime. It's thicker and the hook and loop is easy to use at night. I like Puppi, which are thinner, for daytime. I didn't get the chance to try the small Abrazo on my baby as a newborn. They weren't released until he was past the newborn stage and wearing size medium. I'm not sure if it would fit immediately from birth, but probably pretty soon. 💜Heidi
