Is Delaware boring?
Is Delaware growing SUPER fast?
And does Delaware have awesome beaches?
We’ll answer those questions and more. So let’s pull up our anchors and get ready to set sail. We’re gonna unbox the state of Delaware!
Oooh. What a pretty beach. It’s not often you find a calm, tranquil beach up here in the northeast like this. Many beaches in this part of the country are way overcrowded and dirty. But not this beach. Nuh uh. This is Bethany Beach. It’s one of Delaware’s MANY great beaches. A lot of people from all over the area come to Delaware’s beaches in the summertime. That sounds like a GOOD thing, but all those people flocking to this part of the state means there’s no room for the locals!
No one wants annoying Pennsylvania, Maryland and DC people here right? But these are the closest nicest beaches for many Americans, and there’s no sign at the state line saying they can’t come. Can you blame them for flocking here? I mean look at the place. Delaware beaches are regularly called some of the cleanest beaches in the country.
But there’s a lot more to Delaware than just neat beaches. I mean this place is HUGE! Actually it’s tiny. There’s still sort of a lot going on here in the Diamond State. If you’re thinking of making Delaware YOUR home one day, you need to know the ins and outs of this state so you know where the perfect place is for you and your perfect little family.
This is Delaware.

Lived in Delaware my whole life. Went to Philly for about 8 years and came right back to Wilmington. To outsiders it's boring, but you have to be down to know where the fun is. Wilmington is more carved up than you explained. I like how you can bounce from different scenery and cultures in literally a few minutes. Crime is crazy in Wilmington, but if you're not in the game you're relatively safe.

This is incorrect stop spreading this lie. Crime in DE is all relative. Imagine you complaining about crime to a Philadelphian and the stats are that of a day if crime in Philly. That's exactly what it was until the pandemic. Crime literally was low af! 17 people shot in a year before the pandemic came. In philly that's one day. I hate when people scare people away from Wilmington oi ver exaggerating crime. DE residents live in a good state stop spreading lies!

Spent part of my childhood in Wilmington, DE, and graduated from high school there, and 4 months after I graduated, I joined the Army and got the hell out of there. Once you leave New Castle county and go past the C&D canal, you might as well be in Mississippi. I'm so glad that I had relatives in NYC, D.C.. NJ and Philly, lol, people I went to school with barely knew me because I was always somewhere else during weekends, and summertime. The only thing I miss about Delaware is fishing on the Brandywine River, which is probably the most unknown great Smallmouth Bass river in the country.

The Ricans have some jumping spots on Union St and 4th St if that's your scene, Black folks have some good hood bars and spots on Rt 13. White folks have a lot. It's still a little racially divided, but everyone is welcome everywhere. Just from my experience if I go somewhere it's rarely an even mix of races, but everybody be chilling. They're going to welcome you if you're white in a predominantly black spot and vice versa.

North Wilmington has all of the suburban amenities as the NJ borough I moved away from and I can visit NJ people on the weekends very easily or take the train up to Philly or NYC. Property taxes are 1/4 of what my NJ relatives pay for a similar home. I can't see any reason to go back.

So maybe a bit of another video from Ohio somehow got spliced into this, but those are not Delaware routes, and I've looked at my Delaware highway map and Googled and not route 117 and 274 anywhere in Delaware.

Wilmington Delaware is probably the best place to live in the US... in my opinion. It is such a central location and near 4 major US cities (Baltimore, DC, NYC). It's easy to get up and decide to take a trip to any of those places. In addition, Wilmington is a city but it really is pretty much the sister city of Philadelphia. Matter of fact, both Philadelphia and Wilmington include each place in the metro population count. 30 to 35minutes and you are in Philly. That is the same or less than the commute time for many people in most major cities. You have access to so many different airports in nearby states when traveling. Delaware is the 2nd smallest state but was the 9th richest state in the union in 2020: it's economy was ranked 21 out of all of the states which is impressive considering it's size. I missed and appreciate Delaware much more after spending almost all of my adult life (so far) in Atlanta. That Joe BIden pick is hilarious. He needs to get that done ASAP. They won't call him sleepy Joe anymore.

Another great vid. Spent gobs of time out there last couple years. Milford and Milton are great in-betweens. Close enough to the beaches but also a hidden secret of DE is mid-bay, around Big Stone Beach, which is somewhat parallel with the Milford area. It's gorgeous. Rugged. Tons of life. Not just horseshoe crabs but lots of other fish, rays, and tons of sand tiger sharks. There's this sand coral that serves as a substrate for mussel beds and the gulls perch on them and pick small prey out of the shallow pools at low tide. There's cactus everywhere behind the bluffs. It's splendid. Link in reply.

Haters gonna hate, and overly opinionated people will surely not like this, but of the 4 states I have lived in( Pennsylvania, Vermont, Florida and Delaware) I Love Delaware. There is so much history here, and the natives are truly nice people. As with any state, there are good areas and bad areas. I live in Millsboro, Sussex County, just far enough from the beaches. Its a nice place. I say why not visit for yourself, and judge. Rehoboth Beach is really nice. I lived in Sarasota Florida, and never found a beach that was like Rehoboth. Small town feel, and really nice people. Ask a local and they will tell you.

I think these people were not able to articulate that because it's almost like they wanted to feed into your crime is all over stay away sentiment. Smh! He simply named places where the house aren't the big 4000 sqft like we have in Middleton, Smyrna and Townsend. I'm defending DE because this is a better state in the US to live in and many aren't aware.
