REALLY IMPORTANT QUESTION: if I want to become a self-taught front-end web developer I have to study html, css and JavaScript. What do I study if I want to become a software engineer? Where do I begin?

Hey Kalle. Thanks for the video. It's about a month after your unboxing and I would like to know your feedback about Dell XPS 15. Is it comfortable to use after MacBook Pro? What are the pros and cons?

In 2017 I bought the Latitude E5570 I still use. Bought it, didn't even bother installing the windows but ersed the secure boot option and installed Slackware. Never regretted it. With 32 Gigs you can easily have 6 virtual desktops.

Hi Kalle, I enjoy your content and this unboxing! Regarding arch, I found Manjaro to be a bit more friendly with installation, and it's an Arch based distro (so you get used to using arch and have a great idea of what's going on, for when you opt with a vanilla arch boot). Good luck on your journey, I'm sure you will not regret it!

Use debian about the barebone thing! A lot of commands out there about developer stuff are by default debian commands or ubuntu which is based on debian! I have tried arch but debian based distros are more strait forward

I would really recommend you to try endeavourOS, an Arch-based distribution that gives you basically a visual installer for the arch (and also a bunch of options for Desktop Environment and basic drivers to install directly during the first system installation). I'd choose endeavourOS over Manjaro. I'm currently using endeavourOS for about 5 months more or less and it's super!

Sorry for your pain brother, but it is nice to know I'm not the only one getting my a$$ handed to me from time to time. You took a beating before throwing in the (temporary) towel. Mad props to you.

This. Pop OS! was built with programmers in mind and doesn't include the bloat from Ubuntu but with all the reliability and ease.

It's not recommended to keep laptops on your lap irrespective of them being called 'lap'top. All brands where ThinkPad or Dell will heat up if kept on your lap.

Arch is great because of its package manager, the Aur, and the arch wiki. Try Manjaro, it's a good start if you want some of the benefits of arch

Great choice I have a Xps13 for several years now. I run Linux Manjaro which is a little bit easier to install and it’s based on arch. Try it out.
