I’d say the more sound proofing the better. It will be hard to go back and do it again. If you can’t get to sleep because of the rain, you’ll be kicking yourself 🤷‍♀️ Coming along well 👏

Always considering weight, more panels may make a small percentage of improvement to sound and vibration reduction, but the benefits of panels already installed will be very noticeable. I do like the unrushed, carefully considered, and planned approach. Enjoy!

Exactly. Couldn't agree more. I'm always thinking of the weight. Those packs of deadening pads are heavy.

A lot of the videos I have seen for sound deadening say >50% coverage is required for best effect

We used more sound deadening in ours (Vw t6) especially on the roof makes a massive difference in the rain/hail as for John and his cardboard box … what legend 🤣 Great video again

I'm not going to lie.... I plastered Viv with sound deadening and the difference was amazing. However, I neglected to sound deaden the cab and now I dont have the will to do it. I may yet get round to it. good job guys! Much respect- Kenny

Hi Adrian, Glad the company replaced the broken Solar panel ASAP. Quick DC to DC question can I use a power station ie Blueti etc... instead of a leisure battery from the Van ? Not very good with the Electric side of things in a van. Your hilarious as well. 😂. 👋🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Hi. Yes. I just wish they'd take away the broken one 🤦. I'm no expert on the power packs but yes, you can use them instead of a leasure battery. It's a good option for someone who's not comfortable with the electrics. Watch Mels big van small world. He's building a van right now that's having a power pack instead of an electric system.

Great video. Iv just bought a connect to convert. Iv bought 60’sheets of sound deadening. Think I might of went a tad overboard 🤣

I wouldn't go overboard on the sound deadening. They are designed to add mass to your panel to reduce vibration. The sound you get when hitting the panel is a thud so it's already doing an effective job. And that's crap about the panel is not the manufacturer that isn't taking it back or the company you bought it from?

Deffo no more sound deadening on those panels with it 😊 waste of money we think! And deffo no vapour barrier on top of the insulation boards you're using as it already has it on so fab for money saving! Just grab some vapour tape for the joins... I personally didn't see the point in the vapour barrier on the last van. As you end up screwing through it anyway 😂 Keep up the good work! It's so daunting at this stage isn't it 😂 we are wanting the faff of fitting back seats to be over and done as we need the back seat raising to match the front ones! Little jobs that take the longest!
