Congrats. She is lovely. ;-) I love everything about her and those shoes! Those tiny sequins! I do have one, Chasing Rainbows, I bought at BlytheCon 2023. HAHAHAHH Your description of Rune!~
@MarchPaynesMidlifeDollyCrisis9 ай бұрын
Yes, this one is Chasing Rainbows 2, she is the sister of the previous Chasing Rainbows, which you've got. I am over the moon with this one. The outfit reminds me of Chicago (the musical - not the Windy City), I can imagine her doing her best Fosse moves on my desk every time I leave the room.

Beautiful doll. She is gorgeous. I have Lizette, one of Ellowyne's friend. I had the opprtunity to buy her very cheap a while ago. She is also a doll with wigs. I only have the wig she came with when I bought her.
@MarchPaynesMidlifeDollyCrisis9 ай бұрын
I'm already obsessed with Ellowyne. I have actually heard of Lizette, I hope you enjoy her as much as I enjoy this one. I have to admit that I found it a bit daunting buying her new, but when you see the prices on the second hand market for these dolls the prices are insane!
@darklight42519 ай бұрын
I have no idea about the second hand prices. I bought her in a "brocante/vide grenier" in France from a collector I bought other dolls from previously in the same place. She was very cheap but she is not pristine. She has a small paint defect on one eye I could probably fix and she had a life before (lol). She must be an early version because she has no lashes only painted eyes. I had a crush on her when I saw her. I thought she was charming. I don't give names to my dolls but I named her Melancholia. I have a Flickr if you are interested. There are 2 pictures of her, not very good I would say but I'll try to do her justice when I will have more time!

I am so happy you got your first Ellowyne Wilde doll!! She is my favourite 16” fashion doll. Neema is wonderful too. Your Chasing rainbows Ellowyne is so beautiful. I hope you love her. Wigged dolls are fantastic. When you change the hair it’s like having a whole new doll. Are you thinking of joining one of Rachel’s subscription boxes? She has one for Ellowyne where you get a new fashion every month. Super fun! Virtual Doll Convention is so fun to be a part of. ❤

Thank you! She is both my first wigged doll and my first 16" doll too. I'm really enjoying her so far and definitely have plans to expand her wardrobe, maybe with some crafted items and purchases from VDC. I like the idea of the subscription box a lot so it's definitely on my radar. Neema is such a beautiful doll too and obviously I wouldn't want Ellowyne to get lonely 😉

Ellowyne needs Neema in her life! Ha ha. I may try some sewing for her as well. I tried a small skirt for my Rainbow high doll. It was from Tammy Powley’s tutorial. It could probably be made larger for Ellowyne. I can’t wait to see what you make. 🤗
@MarchPaynesMidlifeDollyCrisis9 ай бұрын
@@CherishedDollFriends Exactly! Although Ellowyne may have to make friends with some of my Barbies whilst I save up for a Neema. Tammy also has a video tutorial on how to make a skirt for Ellowyne on her channel, as well as a pattern and video on how to make a cute top too.

You will have your mind blown when you get an 1/3 doll, they are humongous! I'm quite happy with my Smartdoll and her bjd husband. I prefer 1/4 and 1/6 scales. She is quite cute, congrats on getting her! It's been quite a new thing, having an 1/4 doll, isn't?
@MarchPaynesMidlifeDollyCrisis9 ай бұрын
Ha! Yes, if I ever get a Smartdoll I will probably faint at how humungous they are. I think we're so used to dolls being 1/6 because that's been the size of Barbie and countless other fashion dolls for so long now. I honestly don't know if 1/4 scale is new or not, when I started watching videos about BJDs I was astounded by how many different sizes there seemed to be of them.

Congratulations March! She's like an extra big Barbie! 😍 I think she's gorgeous, definitely gave me flapper vibes too. I like dolls with wigs, when you're not planning to have lots of that type of doll, you can change their look so much, so easily! She's got a lovely nude/natural faceup and nails, I think she'd suit being a brunette too. Looking forward to seeing what you make for her, and what other clothes you find too! Thanks for sharing 🤍

I now can't get an image of Ellowyne wearing a black and white stripe swimsuit and wearing cats-eye sunglasses out of my head! The wig really seems to work for this doll and it's very nice and secure too, I already have a wig in mind that I might get for her. I will definitely be showing this gal off loads, and hopefully be able to add a friend or two to my collection for her over time. It's actually lovely having a big doll in my collection, I think making clothes for a doll who is bigger may be an easier place to start for making doll clothes than for a regular fashion doll size.

Congrats on getting your first Ellowyne Wilde doll. She's very pretty and versatile, should be fun to restyle. Your hair reminds me of one of your Blythes, fab! Ellowyne is absolutely beautiful. I love her neutral make-up and that she even has a pedicure. It's quite funny that Tammy Powly inspired you to get her, considering you inspired her to get a Rune doll 😄. The shoe quality looks the same as human shoes and it was so interesting to see her next to a Barbie. I don't have this scale doll though I do have a cheap AliExpress 1/3 scale doll who freaked me out at first! It's like you now have a mannequin doll to inspire you ❤️❤️❤️

I am obsessed with Ellowyne Wilde at the moment, I also have so many ideas for her that I'm really excited to start making clothes for her. Maybe it will be easier to make clothes for such a big doll rather than a Barbie or a Blythe? I like the idea of Tammy getting her own back after I inspired her to buy a Rune. I was genuinely surprised when I saw how big Ellowyne was next to Barbie, if I had a 1/3 scale doll I'd probably faint!

Thank you - yes I thought as it's a doll channel I should have something behind me which isn't just blank wall, it definitely makes it more interesting, although all the faces does confuse the camera a bit I think. I think I'd seen too many videos of wigs falling off dolls just by being moved etc so that did worry me, thankfully the wig seems very secure and tbh you wouldn't necessarily know she was wearing one. Everyone wants to own dolls which look like they're about to cut you though, right???🤣 I can't even imagine what owning a 1/3 doll would be like if I'm already daunted by a 1/4 size.
