All of my plants are inside now and it looks like a flipping jungle in here! Love the king palm Jeff! When my squirrels make that noise I always understand it as them being territorial. Much love to you and your beautiful animal family. Xxx

I KNOW that I’m probably a bad plant mom but I use a systemic on all of my plants that don’t flower when bringing them in from outside. 🎃🍁💚🙃

I enjoy seeing summer gardens during the winter months because everything is so drab and dreary outside it’s refreshing to see some green lush plants. Besides I can make a list of the things I might be wanting to add to my garden come spring. 🎃🍁💚🙃

How exciting new plants, especially this time of the year. Love the new plants ❤. The self watering pots are nice..

Hi Jeff! It's always fun seeing Pumpkin. She so cute, and precious. Poppy is really growing fast. It's always good seeing Turbo, too and seeing him enjoying the pool. The palms are pretty. It's sad that the big palms will be leaving next week, but it will be fun to see what you do to make up for it. It's cool to watch them take the palms out, too. I'm glad you were able to get the drip in and that the water reaches that far. I hope the self watering pots work for you. Thank you so much for sharing!

Thank you Sandy! Yeah it can be a bummer when the palms leave and tropicals go inside, but it's also fun being able to do the fall gardening and lay out new shrubs and perennials for next year.
@judymckerrow6720Ай бұрын
I’m glad you were able to extend your drip. We have had any rain for weeks and weeks. The weather app said that we were supposed to get some rain today but the sun is shinning 😵💫🎃🍁💚🙃

Wow Jeff, those new plants are great. and I do remember that you have your Palm trees moved into a plant place that takes care of them in the winter for you and then you get them back. I haven't ever moved my indoor plants outside because I don't have a good area for them yet, and hopefully next year I will. I just have a lot of indoor plants and really love taking care of all of them. Great also having self watering pots. Your sweet animals are so great and really seem happy alot. Thanks again for another wonderful video, have a blessed and beautiful weekend, sending love and hugs, bye!! 🥰🥰😘🙏🙏👍🙌👏🎃💖💚💕💜💜💜

Thank you Holly! Yeah it can be a challenge finding spots for all the plants inside. I'm grateful for the garage because I don't know what I would do without it!

I do want to get my hands on a plumeria though. I love those trees even if they get spider mites so easily. I think now I’m more prepared to battle the little buggers. 🤞🏻🎃🍁💚🙃

Oh plant shopping is an excellent idea in my opinion, I can fulfill my need through you and I don’t have to figure out where to put them 🤗 understandable though you’re running out of grow space. 🎃🍁💚🙃

You know I felt like I watered a lot more too this year in Florida panhandle. Plus we had a stretch of heat July - August with daily heat index of 105-110. Really effected the growth of some plants like my cannas did not grow as tall or flower as well
@TropicalPlantPartyАй бұрын
Was a rough year for watering for sure! I love the plants but im ready for a cool off and break from it all. Partially jus5 because being outside isnt as enjoyable when you haven't had rain in weeks so everything is dusty and the allergens are abundant.

Hi Pumpkin! Turbo... You seem like an awesome host. I could talk plants for days. Love getting new plants to try out.
@LostInThisGardenofLifeАй бұрын
Hey, Jeff. Awesome plants! I’m gonna have to live vicariously through you as you get all these beautiful plants in, since I’ve restricted my plant buying. I’m only going to adopt free plants from my job from now on (or try to 😅). Yesterday I pulled a beautiful pink flowering bush mandevilla in a 5 gallon planter from the dumpster. The things garden centers throw away will break your heart. Love from NC. 😬💗

Your garden still looks fabulous in spite of the drought. We've had no precip at all for 40 days. I'm tired of watering, tired of brown grass and dry dirt patches. Yesterday, it was 101 in Austin, but a cold front tonight will drop temps for a few days. I've started moving the smaller plants into my greenhouse for the winter. I had to pause a project for several months - it was absolutely too hot for this old person to do heavy outside work. I'm hoping to work on it again as the weather cools. 🥵

Squirrels usually make that noise as an alarm call. Maybe you or Turbo set it off. I usually hear them make that noise when a cat or hawk is around my house.
@TropicalPlantPartyАй бұрын
Ive been hearing it outside for years and could never pinpoint where it was coming from. Now I know. I'm sure they're just making noise bc of me and turbo.

I was thinkging maybe you should replace those hydrangeas in pots with a couple berry whites. Then put those ones that were in the pots in the ground. They may do better in the ground.
@TropicalPlantPartyАй бұрын
I'm thinking about swapping them out with limelight prime standards but I'd prefer the berry whites. Just need to find them in a standard form.
@judymckerrow6720Ай бұрын
While the hanging grow bags can be beautiful they are SUCH a pain to keep watered I gave up on them years ago. It might be okay if they’re on drip but still I think that they still would dry out too fast. 🎃🍁💚🙃

You have 2 cats, 2 dogs, and a turtle (that we know about,). Any time you "run out of plant talk ideas", I'd love an update on the pets 😊

i got my lady palm last year from fast growing trees and it came in very good condition. however lately fast growing trees has began to fall off
@TropicalPlantPartyАй бұрын
That's great you got such a nice one! Hopefully they get their act together. I've thought about trying them but have never found what I needed for the right price. Maybe will give them a try next spring.
@dianebanks1125Ай бұрын
Even ion Maui they are pricey. They grow painfully slowly. Fortunately my best friend gives me clumps she has to remove, because the Raphis and Kentia are my favorite palms.
@TropicalPlantPartyАй бұрын
That's a good hookup you have there because those are both pricey and slow growing plants!

If you like squirrels I can send you a black one, a red one, and a gray one ? I would gladly do so ! 🎃🍁💚🙃
@michaelmccarthy4077Ай бұрын
so, I'm trying to figure out how/why you don't have a silver Saw Palmetto. I know you've got the Bismark, but the silver saw is far more cold hardy. Seems like something you should have. In other news, couple miles down the road was a historic, champion Lemon Eucalyptus (Corymbia citriodora). i stress _was_ because having survived Charlie, Wilma, Irma and Ian, along comes Milton and the tree is now gone. It was probably approaching the end of its life (was planted in 1904 and they only live 80-100 years on average) but it is still sad.
@TropicalPlantPartyАй бұрын
Oh no! That is so sad! A shame to lose any tree, let alone an old one that's such a special plant. 😔 The saw palmettos crown rot sooooooooo fast in fall and winter here. Despite being cold hardy, I basically have to treat them like a tropical of there's any precipitation below like 35F. I love them, had one in a shopping cart bc I miss growing them, then remembered how fussy they are with moisture when it's cold out.
@CBar-rd6imАй бұрын
I got a lady palm like that for 12 bucks at a flea market in Fl., it has a baby now. I would have gladly sent the baby to you for free, if I knew you were on the hunt for one. 😊 I love watching your videos!!!

Holy cr@p on the palm pricing. I used to work in a receiving job checking in plants off the trucks and I've never seen those palms in that sorta price range and call me crazy here but there is no reason for them to be marked up that high. It's not the Covid / plant craze and those are not exotic truly strange prince in crease on those.
@TropicalPlantPartyАй бұрын
I agree! And what's even worse is that the ones i got were some of the best prices I could find!
