My Fire maple is on its way ! Jet Boil is thru their arrogance of requiring a specific fuel canister says it all!

I have been using the Petrel pot with the Soto Windmaster for most of this backpacking season. It works soooooo well. I am usually sitting back in my chair relaxing watching my buddies fiddle with their stoves while food is already rehydrating.

The Petrel works extremely well with the Polaris stove as well. It cooks so fast I have keep it at a low heat or it will boil over immediately. It's super efficient.

I would add the Petrel slots DO NOT work with angled legs like are on the BRS or Blade 2 stoves.

I disagree with you on the piezo igniter. I think of it as dead weight because I have NEVER had one be reliable enough that I wouldn't take a lighter.

I always recommend taking at least one lighter as a back up. Can't 100% trust those piezos!
